A lot of the Knicks fans have been really cool. I feel bad for them. Obviously I feel more happy for my Pacers. If the Knicks had won, I'd have rooted for you guys in the finals. Brunson is an amazing scorer. I affectionately call him "the little fat boy". Towns is really good player, he does drive me crazy with the seemly out of control drives, arms flailing, off arm pushing or holding.

No way should Thibbs be fired. The best 2 seasons in like 25 years. 2 wins away from the finals. Beating the defending champs. The 20 point comebacks. How could you not run it back with Thibbs and a few tweaks.

I normally don't call people out, but the biggest jerk was obviously LFGK, how disgraceful. I'm pretty sure even most Knicks fans don't like him. I hope you get blow back from this for a long time. There's getting torched and then there's KAT just not even trying to get back on defense and NY plays 4 on 5 because KAT refuses to hustle back on defense. If NY wants to win they need a lot more defensive effort from KAT.

Haliburton is not a superstar. He’s a great star player.

He doesn't always do it in the flashiest of ways, but much like Steve Nash his passing and playmaking lift everyone on the team. I'd say looking around the league, he's in like Tier 2.5.

Clearly better: SGA, Jokic, Wemby

Probably better: Giannis, Luka

Similar impact: ANT, Curry, Mitchell

So, I'd say he's definitely in the 4-9 range, and probably 6-9. I can't think of anyone else I'd seriously consider as being better than him right now. He's clearly on another level from Brunson and Towns. Trying to put LeBron or KD that high would be living in the past. AD's fine and all, but does anyone really think he's capable of carrying a team to the Finals right now? JJJ and Mobley are more the #2 guy on a contender than the #1. I really don't see who else you argue over Hali.

Thibs really impressed me in the loss. He made more adjustments than I thought he was capable of and held his own against Carlisle to give his team a chance to win the series. I'm not going to say he was Carlisle's equal, but he was pretty damn close and Carlisle's absolutely one of the very best coaches in the league.

Thibs had all year to tinker and experiment with lineups, and only started to do that after being responsible for putting his team down 0-2 in the ECF.

If he’s gonna be back, he’s going to need to be a lot more flexible. He better not let Kolek, Huk or Dadiet rot on the bench. They should all be regularly playing at least 5-8 mins per game. He needs to stop letting KAT (assuming he’s back) play drop coverage when he gets targeted in p&r schemes. Also, please for the love of God come up with better ways for your team to score that doesn’t mostly involve Brunson bailouts or KAT trying to create for himself from out in the perimeter.

This dude has a Ferrari at his disposal, but drives it at 30 mph. This team has weaknesses (hint, most teams do), but doesn’t know he to maximize the talent he has in the most efficient ways possible. He got severely out coached in all their losses. The first 2 games were lost by the slimmest or margins, due to him not adjusting or sticking to what was working.

Yes they made the ECF, but he blew a golden opportunity for this team to make the finals for the first time in 26 years. They were all actually healthy too. I am thankful for him in being responsible for helping this team get back to respectability and contender status, but he definitely is not adaptable enough to take this team to the next level.

This is a nonsensical counter point. Not everyone is built to stop everyone. Even DPOY has their weak 1 v 1 matchups. OG will stop most 1 on 1, and he makes over-all defense better with his presence and ability to help or cover for teammates' mistakes. Whereas, Brunson is a GAPING HOLE ALL THE TIME against ANYONE including your grandma.

If you're going to be pointing out defensive weaknesses on the team OVERALL, point out the biggest damn HOLE. That's Brunson.

He was absolute monster on defense , championship level defense

Only gripe I have , it takes a lot of energy to play this kind of defense , he should’ve pass some of those missed shots, yes they was wide open shots but still he have to recognize he was in shooting slump at the moment

It's true that Boston has things to worry about. But that's fine. Brad has shown that he has what it takes to navigate through a rough patch and put together a winner. So I'm not worried.

The Knicks had literally everything break their way including massive injuries to the Celtics. No one actually believes that they would have been in the ECF if Boston were healthy. That's just basketball ball though. It happens. But even with that blessing, the Knicks still got smoked by the small market pacers. NY isn't even close and showed us that they didn't really belong there.

If you would've told me at the all star break that neither Boston nor Cleveland were going to playoff in the ECF I would've called you crazy. But here we are.

The pacers are healthy and playing their best basketball at the right time. Rick Carlisle is putting in perhaps the most impressive head coaching job of any coach this season, proving yet again that he's not just one of the best active coaches, he's one of the best of all time.

I don't think they are as good as the Thunder at their best, but they will make it a competitive series.
