If Dame hadn’t gotten hurt we probably trade him in a disappointing move this summer.

But whether or not it was “Khris for Kuzma” level disappointing it sucks to think about how much better that’d be than where we’re at.

He's a decent player on a 1 year contract.

Grant Williams was being offered for him last season and it's not like his value increased since then

He's worth a hell of a lot more than that to us.

If we are stuck with Kuzma, who’s the best FA we can bring in to challenge him for PT?

Bagley, Achiuwa, Oubre, Nance, LaRavia, Watford, Yabusele would be the list I guess. Who’s the most likely to unseat Kuzma from this group, Oubre?

It wouldn't have been disappointing. It would have made us better.

It should also be noted that we turned down the Williams plus a 1st offer.

We're better with Green and Trent at the wings, the challenge is finding them a 3rd wing to rotate with. That's most likely done via trade.

Kuz can back up Giannis, and i guess that's needed now that Portis will be a full time starter.

I wonder if a Center group of Yabusele, Sims, and Achiuwa could work. Can a group of undersized centers who can switch and recover work? Is Capela washed or is he a possible S&T option?

Bobby opting in would be a HUGE win for us. We'd have to pay him big next year when it will be a terrible move to do so (31 y/o and we'll be forced to give him at least 3 years) but that's the price you pay when you are a small market and have screwed yourself. He would be an incredibly valuable trade piece at the deadline too but I'd imagine him opting in is definitely a handshake we'll give you a 3 year deal next year.

And he's a year older and his contract is a year shorter.

I agree that he's worth more than that to us, but I doubt we'd get more than that now.

Agreed. I'm not saying I would trade him for 25 (I wouldn't), but I don't think he'd get you more than that.

To me it doesn’t matter if Kuzma is relegated to the bench or not, I’d still like a swing forward/big brought him to challenge him for whatever role he’s in. Just out of the players I mentioned, I think you have a few upgrades there.

I don't see him taking a discount year this year. He's going to secure his bag in FA. At least that's my belief. Too many injuries going on not to get it now.

Agree, I do think they'll move on from him. I think they were extremely disappointed in him. Horst doen't usually let mistakes linger, and I think they fully recognize he was a colossal mistake. I don't think they correctly assessed his personality before the deal. They didn't realize how uncommitted he is.

Sure, but since almost no one has cap space, almost all the contracts this offseason will be for the TMLE or MLE, including Bobby.

Yabulele doesn't rebound, and we should be using all our exceptions to resign and add wings.

Haven't we already given Bobby two handshake deals?

Yeah we've done that with him in the past. He's 30, he's looking at a long term deal this time.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
