If I’m Orlando I’m worried about 25/26 season and the weak ass east. If the Magic had more scoring pop and playmaking from the guard position they are as good as anyone in the east. Plus they have the size and defense to compete with OKC but they don’t have the scoring. I wouldn’t include 16. Maybe 25 and the Magic would be better on the court. I think the kings could flip KCP for some value too.

sure but so ,so many other ways without killing depth and cheaper ..maybe even 2 players added ..not going into apron...ect...
heck what are odds lavine stays healthy enough to cover kcp min ....i wont bet with his history...and as i stated i think it makes team worse even if magic make no moves over lavine

If they made that deal and declined Harris/Joseph, Magic will have a full roster and just into the tax.

Top 8: Lavine/Suggs/Wagner/Pablo/WCJ/Black/da Silva/Goga/(plus two rookies) and room to make further improvements without hitting any apron.

well they are going to keep moe wagner for sure and not just because he is franz brother but he was in running for 6th man and best scorer off the bench magic have...this takes away 2 of best defenders..and that team is not better then it is now ...and you do not know what moves will be made in east or west ...as i have repeated do not trust lavine to play more then 60 games or be around for playoffs well eating 50 mill a yr ..the bench you listed only black played any kind of real playoff min even with suggs and mo out and black did not fair well...the trade would make magic a worse team next yr and after

Lavine probably needs to be folded into a bigger trade for an even bigger contract

the Spurs Fox trade is what happened and

the Bulls got their own #12 back along with 3 very playable to be expiring contracts, Heurter, Collins and Jones. Never say never

Moe cant play most of next year. I can see the team declining his option and working on a longer deal with less yearly money. will see how he responds.

as to taking away "2 of best defenders", Isaac cant play more than a few minutes a game and HArris is washed. Lavine would be a gamble, but he would improve the offense. but we know this front office never takes a chance so this is DOA

well isaac is big part of bench defense 15-20 min and 71 games last yr what a lot of bench players play i mean isaac would for sure be in playoff rotation and sure he makes a few mill more then should but add in he is on a non guaranteed contract that not many 4 yr contacts are only 1 of those 4 yrs fully guaranteed
kcp big part of starting defense plays almost every game and 30 min
so thats really 20% of the defense ? could argue 40% of best defenders min?...yes doa magic not paying lavine 100 mill for 2 yrs

He wanted Zach for years, he isn’t going to be talked out of it this summer. Perry is stuck with LaVine for at least a little bit. I’d bet Perry’s bigger problem is stopping Vivek from pushing on a contract extension.

I wouldn’t be opposed to extending LaVine. However, considering he’ll be 32 at the start of his next contract, considering his injury history, and considering he’s not a guy that’s going to carry your team to sustained playoff success like a true star, I’d offer him around $20 mil per year.

If he’s not interested, we could leverage his large expiring contract next offseason as a good way to match salaries in a trade for a better star.

to think that Isaac is critical to Orlando success and that he and Harris need to remain on the team.

not were harris comes up? i have been saying magic will not pick up his option,,i just defended isaac and your hate..and my dislike for lavine with his contract

edit
i do not have problem trading 1 of kcp or isaac its both for bad aging contract
i would rather trade kcp for pg it is both for 1 way large bad contract that i have problem

Honestly I see the kings waiting a year when Zach becomes an expiring contract and we trade him then. His value will be much higher as a productive large expiring deal.

Way too good for Sac. Issac alone is better than Lavine contract wise. Zach isnt returning a pick at this stage in his career, he is what he is

I’m not married to any deal but it is pretty clear Orlando needs 3 point shooting. Any Suggs Banchero Pick and Roll is a lot less dangerous without a top 3 point shooter standing in the corner.

LaVine is not without his faults but he is one of the best 3 point shooters in the league. His contract extends only this coming year and next so it goes off the books when you need to pay Banchero big money.

Isaac can't stay on the floor. If he can't be on the floor to play basketball how does he have any value. 15 minutes a night is great for you 10th or 11th guy. People keep trying to shoe horn Isaac into tons of trades, if he has real value then Orlando should keep him and use him but if he really can't stay on the floor for more than 15 minutes a night without hurting himself then I don't see a reason that any team would want to invest in him at this point. People need to stop acting like players that don't play still have value.

His contract has allowances if I'm not mistaken to mitigate that. Lavine on the other hand is Kevin Martin on a max, he sucks

He doesn't suck, he is just over paid. And next season he will be a huge expiring and will be able to garner a decent trade package at that point.

Players not worth their contract don't suddenly become valuable as expiring contracts. Way back 2 CBA's ago, teams signed a lot more terrible long-term deals so team willing to take on salary could trade any old expiring for better players. Mavs did this constantly to reload around Dirk.

But not the case any longer. Oh his deal is better, but not good. He won't be worth anything in a year either. Just less negative.

From the ORL side, I could see KCP/WCJ/Cole Anthony for Lavine, maybe with spare pieces added.

Suggs / Black
Lavine / Harris
Wagner / Da Silva
Banchero / Isaac
Goga / Wagner

Kings follow the trade up with Monk to DAL for PJ Washington.

Keon Ellis / Devin Carter
DDR / Cole Anthony
Murray
Washington
Sabonis / WCJ / JVal

They'd still want to reconfigure further with JVal for a wing or PG the obvious follow up and scouting market for a DDR deal too.

You do realize it is only for 2 years and if you do KCP and Isaac is about 10M more which you could close further if you want.

Given how badly the Magic need 3 point shooting this trade isn’t nearly as bad as your reaction indicates. But whatever. None of us are pulling any triggers
