Giannis Antetokounmpo, Raptors Have Mutual Interest In Each Other

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Jun 2, 2025 12:11 pm

It's still unknown if Giannis Antetokounmpo will ask for a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks. If he does, the Toronto Raptors might be one team that has interest in acquiring the superstar big man.

Antetokounmpo and the Raptors reportedly have mutual interest in each other. Toronto has the tradable salaries to put into a deal, while also retaining enough talent to be a contender after acquiring Antetokounmpo.

Antetokounmpo and Raptors president Masai Ujiri also have a longstanding relationship with each other. In addition, Toronto owns all of their own draft picks moving forward. That could allow them put several picks, plus pick swaps, into a trade for the Bucks star.

Scottie, giannis and Ingram? Sounds like a poor fit. And if we're trading Scottie for giannis let's not.

Reporters are getting desperate for Giannis to leave that they are re-hashing old articles to give them any sort of credence to their agenda. Giannis has literally said zero words about this other than to a greek reporter where he said, "They'd have to kick me out before I ask for a trade." But I guess we're just going to keep ignoring the actual person and keep making up stories about every team having a shot at Giannis.

Scottie would almost certainly be in any Giannis deal.
Why would you not trade Scottie for Giannis? Scottie has somewhat plateaud as a player, which has him positioned maybe around the top 30-50ish players in the league? Unless you're hoping for a major leap which may or may not come, the only thing on Scottie's side is age - Giannis literally does everything better than him on both ends of the floor.

If the Spurs are in play for Giannis, I cannot see him wanting to go to Toronto instead.

The last time we tried to get Giannis we got Aaron Baynes instead, not holding my breath.

You would have to trade Scottie, a line up with Scottie and Freak equals no jump shooting.

I’m sure Giannis would rather suck in Milwaukee then to suck in Toronto

Lol why? Toronto is a way better city, like it's not even close. Unless you're talking about it purely from a legacy standpoint and only ever playing for one team, in which case I get it.

People in Toronto still had to wear winter jackets this past May. Why go through the hassle of packing and moving from one frozen tundra to another? Especially when both teams are not going anywhere

Definitely was not wearing a winter jacket in May, but alright.

Wrong side of 30, a million miles of wear, just finished his worse 3 point and free throw % season of his career. Bucks should take their title and cash this chip in now.

Buuuur sounds cold ! out in here in ca i am sure butler and Gianni’s can’t shoot 3 s but I would do Kuminga and butler with a pick and a couple aps and seconds for Gianni’s . All day . Warriors needs a scorer not a robin that wants to let curry shoulder the load . This trade can work but Giannis say he’s scared of the Western Conference because there’s too much competition maybe I like Butler more after that statement. I don’t think Jimmy Bucks cares about the western or eastern conference because he cares about his game not being a bitch.

Looks like many of you skipped English class. Sounds like a 4 year speaking. "Er uhmm winter cold burr image" Stay in school children. Every city has it's own appeal just like Milwaukee. Don't hold an opinion of a city until you've visited it. You just look like an ****.

Scottie and Jak works ok. As long as Giannis is cool with playing center occasionally I think it could work. But I don't think we get Giannis without giving up Scottie but who knows what Masai has up his sleeve.
