Yeah, the Raps aren't getting Giannis for the equivalent of Derozan and a first.

If Raps land Giannis, they should hire Mike Malone as headcoach.

Pacers win game 1, but lose 4 straight.
What’s your prediction?

Knicks trading KAT for KD, then adding another big? Then slide Hart to the bench?

I can see OKC winning 4x0. Caruso and Dort wont give Haliburton any space. I think he will have a very bad series.

If I'm PHX, I don't think I move KD for KAT straight up.

..and that’s when it’s best for that game 1 upset.

Re: NBA General Discussion: 24-25
I think the Pacers strategy is going to get flipped on them. The whole strategy against NY was to push pace & guard Brunson 94 ft to physically wear them down. OKC will send a combo of Dort, Wallace, and Caruso at Hali all series to physically wear on him.
It’s a lot harder to speed up OKC too because they’re more disciplined than NY and SGA can mismatch hunt more effectively than Brunson. And the pace thing doesn’t even matter because OKC has young athletes across their entire roster.
Indiana had an awesome run through the East but OKC is a different animal.

They really don't have a choice lol. It keeps Booker happy and them mid which sadly is important when they owe a gazillion picks

Re: NBA General Discussion: 24-25
Very bold move to fire Thibs, they better have a replacement in mind. He took that team as far as they could go imo.
Classic front office move tho - the roster we built is good enough but we need a better coach

Isn’t it kind of Thibs MO that he wears out his welcome fairly quickly with players? I wouldn’t be shocked if the players decided it was best to move on. Now, is that best for the team long term is a valid question

Re: NBA General Discussion: 24-25
It's a mix to me.
Yeah, that team has defensive personnel problems, but the offense should be a lot better, and that mostly falls on Thibs. Even tho the team is always gonna be capped in terms of ceiling.
I think the issue is that they don't have many moves to make in terms of roster, so this feels like the only real "upgrade" available to them. Basically, Thib is kind of a scapegoat for the front office.
I guess they get Bud, Malone or Brown

It wouldn't surprise me if the players privately went to Rose and said get Thibs outta here.

Re: NBA General Discussion: 24-25
Bucks fans on the trade board are down to asking for Maxey, 3, and filler for Giannis.
We're starting to get close to reasonable prices here.
If this in any way reflects reality, and if Giannis would agree to come here, Morey is making that trade.

One of my favorite Sixers moments of the last 6-7 years, if not the best. Damn shame he couldn't finish the job.

If the players are the driving force behind this, then I’d have some major concerns for them. It’s been a couple days and they’re already leaking their annoyance with KAT and getting their coach fired. The situation doesn’t usually get better once those kinds of things start happening.
