MIL - PHI (Giannis)
-----------------------------
MIL Gets: Tyrese Maxey, Andre Drummond, Lonnie Walker, & #3
MIL Gives: Giannis Antetokounmpo
Why for MIL? The Bucks move on from the Giannis era and land a 24 year old all star guard who is locked up for the next 4 years (no player options). They also receive the 3rd pick in the upcoming draft to give them another good shot at adding another young star around Maxey.
PG - Maxey / Porter / Lillard (rehab)
SG - Connaughton / Green / Walker
SF - Kuzma / Jackson / Livingston
PF - Portis / Smith
C - Drummond
-----------------------------
PHI Gets: Giannis Antetokounmpo
PHI Gives: Tyrese Maxey, Andre Drummond, Lonnie Walker, & #3
Why for PHI? The 76ers double down and go all-in on winning now. They paid Giannis with Embiid and George while having McCain being able to slide in as the starting PG spot.
PG - McCain / Butler
SG - Grimes / Gordon / Edwards
SF - George / Oubre / Council
PF - Giannis
C - Embiid / Bona

I’m a Sixers fan. This isn’t enough. Needs multiple real picks to be even close.
I don’t think going all in is what they should do, but value is a separate discussion.

Fair enough. How much value you think needs to be added on PHI's side? If I'm interpreting their pick situation accurately, it looks like they technically could add their 2028, 2030, and 2032 1sts.

Re: MIL - PHI (Giannis)
Given Joel’s knee situation and PG’s questionable play, I don’t think this is the best direction for Philly..
If Milwaukee takes that offer in OP, yeah you do it and you can trade the LAC pick and swap year for a guard and hope Joel gets back right by the playoffs. Giannis can carry what’s left of Philly’s roster.
Probably don’t need to include some of the depth pieces if you use 3rd as matching?
But one Milwaukee takes those assets, I just really don’t see it.

Wonder if there is a scenario where MKE gets pick 1,3 plus others and bad salary like Paul George, Klay, other?. Dallas gets Embiid plus something and Philly gets Giannis to pair with Maxey which actually makes some sense.

Do you think Dallas should give #1 plus salary(And Dallas doesn't have enough negative salary to match Embiid) for another injured star when they already have AD and Kyrie?
I get why its cool to think about getting 1 and 3 for Giannis, and its not remotely outrageous value wise. But you've got to sell me on why this is good for Dallas, cuz I got to be honest it sounds absolutely awful. If Embiid was healthy Dallas doesn't have the pieces to trade for him obviously. But he is not.

I’m pondering, maybe Embiid goes to the Lakers or another team with the pieces Dallas is looking for. Thought it was an interesting angle I hadn’t seen on here yet

Re: MIL - PHI (Giannis)
You hadn't see in because Embiid's health and contract means its super unlikely a team trades for him. And almost certainly doesn't give up Cooper Flagg.
But now you have the Lakers taking Embiid which is at least more feasible in that they have a bunch of salary to attach, but how are the Lakers coming up with enough value for the 1st overall pick? Luka isn't coming back and if you combined everything else they have it doesn't approach the right value.

So maybe pondering means something different to you, so let me expand, I’m looking to engage in discussion to try and create an idea. What would be more useful, what would Dallas be looking for in exchange for the number 1 pick and maybe we can dream something up. Or don’t, like I said, it was just a thought which is why I didn’t create a thread.

Do you see me quoting you? And asking you questions? This is engaging in discussion.I'm trying to understand why Dallas trades for Embiid or how the Lakers have the value to pull the #1. These were your ideas presented for discussion. If you believe in those ideas don't let my skepticism stop you, explain how it works.
I don’t believe in them, I’m pondering the idea of a fourth team that makes the OP deal kind of work. Isn’t that what we are doing here?
In your opinion, what does Dallas need? Then I guess I’d be looking at which teams have some assets and are going for it where Embiid would make sense, then maybe we can build a framework. Or maybe the idea is DOA, don’t know

Per Wiretap Houston, who I believe has lots of tradeable assets, interested in Adams, Lopez, why not Embiid. Maybe we found a fourth team to make this thing work

Re: MIL - PHI (Giannis)
I'm starting to feel bad, but Adams and BroLo are like TMLE guys they would be bringing in as backups. I don't believe that signals any interest in trading rotation players to Philly and enough value to Dallas to get them to send #1 to Dallas. Their fans are balking at paying a much smaller price for KD who fits better and doesn't have that huge contract hanging over them.
You've started with wanting to get #1 to the Bucks. Okay. Your next step should be figuring out to convince that team to give you that pick when they are not getting Giannis themselves.
If you believe that is Embiid tell us why. If you believe its not Embiid but that another team is willing to give up most of the value for Giannis, all of the value for the #1 pick but take Embiid instead of Giannis, tell us why.
I think these are bridges that can't be crossed. But I'm open to you telling us how. But its on you to tell us how if these are your ideas for getting the rturn you want for Giannis.

76ers minus Maxey aren't interesting enough for Giannis to consider extending, and that makes the deal DOA.

Maxey and #3 decimates the lame duck offers like Allen and Garland or Scottie and doo doo

Re: MIL - PHI (Giannis)
So pondering a bit for the thread? Even though Giannis probably doesn’t want to go to a Maxey-less Sixer squad..
Maxey to Dallas
1 and 3, Klay, Martin to Milwaukee
Giannis to Philly
If you delay it, should be legal? Probably needs some small contact(s) dumped on a third/fourth team. I didn’t actually try it, but all three teams smaller contracts that could be dumped for cheap. Assume Philly and Dallas have to set the team up to avoid a first apron hard cap.
But what other value goes into it?
Does Dallas think Maxey and Kyrie can share the court enough to justify the base idea? I don’t. But maybe others who watched more Sixer games than I did will think they could.

I pretty much agree. But also would be out if it cost much more. Especially picks further out. Not with the shape wer in.

Re: MIL - PHI (Giannis)
Sorry to sound like a broken record, but I think the idea would be to pair Giannis WITH Maxey.
I think the Philly deal is Embiid + #3 + medium asset for Giannis, likely involving a 3rd team to take Embiid and send assets to Milwaukee.
