What I get from him he was a YES man to higher authority ( read front office ) , he’s not a guy with the backbone like Carlisle , Spoelstra , rather a hard worker in the regime but I don’t see how he can be a great HC candidate, I just don’t

Sounds like he'll fit perfectly with rest of FO so it's him.

I hope you hire someone else and that’s wishing Suns well , maybe Ishbia needs a Yes men , but Suns needs someone like Atkinson , Spo, Carlisle even Jordi , not Ott , Ott is going backwards

Seems that's more his opinion on KD but interesting to hear that as I would think it'll happen in July.
Perhaps the Suns have a deal lined up already and are waiting until the finals are over before pulling the trigger. I still think it'll be the Spurs.

If it's KAT, I'm a Hornets fan on lease until the Suns get their act together.

What do you want from Spurs? 14th pick, Vassell, Keldon Johnson (both are mediocre players) and a filler?

It's not that I want these guys, but:

Vassell, Keldon, 14 and 2 future firsts (or 1 Hawks pick)
or
Sochan, Keldon, 14 and a weaker 1st

And whatever fillers

Not surprising. Nobody was going to offer what we initially were asking for.

Here's the quote from the article.

This is not to say the Rockets and Suns are not in communication. On the contrary, Phoenix is aggressive in pursuit of a) trading Kevin Durant and b) regaining full control of their draft capital starting with the No. 10 pick in next month’s draft, team sources said. Since the conclusion of the season, Houston has fielded several calls from Phoenix, who have since gradually lowered their asking price for Durant, those sources said. There is a price where the Rockets would be interested, but with a fear of breaking up their roster for a 36-year-old coming off injury, doubt remains over a deal materializing.

I have always thought:
Expiring contracts
one good young player with potential
A couple FRPs -- 2025 and either 2027 or 2029 with some protections in case its like top 4

So a solid B trade

It's likely going to be the Spurs for KD. He probably wants to go there and finish out his career. Suns will do him a solid by sending him there. Hopefully Nets get in on it and we at least get Cam Johnson back.

Give me KAT !! I will take KAT all day. He got more aggressive in playoffs.

If we can also get Cam Jo in a separate trade with Allen, Oneale sign me up

or even

Claxton, CamJo, Spurs 1st to Suns
Vassell, Barnes, and other spurs 1st to Nets
KD to Spurs

The defense would be so horribly bad with KAT and Booker -- they will be a worse team. He is slow, terrible on defense, can easily be used.

Plus he is owed 180/3 -- terrible contract

Which means, Ishbia will do it. I would rather have Robinson and OG from the Knicks than KAT. Or Hart, Bridges and Robinson

Spurs are not trading #2 unless it's for Giannis. If the Suns do trade him to Spurs it will be for #14 and future picks.

Kelly Iko:
Phoenix has been aggressive in their recent efforts to trade Kevin Durant, sources tell @TheAthletic, engaging with Houston on multiple occasions in efforts to move the 15-time All-Star and regain control of their draft capital.

Does KAT have any ties to Michigan?
