With the sales of like 8 players and the $125 mil. The money can be there. Dont forget all the wages we would be dropping as well.

For the record, no one really knows how the money works, we kind of just guess.

I am not sure how much you'll be saving in the wages department. It will be some, but not a significant amount. Cunha, from what I've read will be on 200k per week. Mbeumo will probably be on similar as well. And with Bruno staying, his aren't going anywhere.

With Sancho returning, who will actually take him off the club's hands? Chelsea were not able to meet his wage demands. Not many clubs can. It may another loan or one involving Manchester United paying some of his wages.

Looking more and more as if these charges are being swept under a rug.

Interestingly enough, after all these signings, I'm not convinced Manchester City is the lock to win the PL as they once were.

Why would he go to Barcelona and risk be benched for Rafinha, Lewandowski?

Why would he go to Barcelona and risk be benched Rafinha, Lewandowski? A weaker team with lazy defence, midfield that barely tracks back.

Most, if not all, South American footballers likely dream of playing for Barca or Real Madrid. And Diaz's father has said as much for Lucho.

With that said, Barca doesn't have the amount needed to pry him away. Clubs in the Saudi League, that's a different story. He's on such a little wage I can image he'd consider it.

This Barcelona isn't Messi or Ronaldhinho era, they have shocking defence, horrible finance. If it was City after him again and Pep i would understand. Players want to win CL and Liverpool have much better chance next season.

Like I've been saying, Cherki will kill with talented players around him. He's been in the worst situation he can be in since 16, stuck with either coaches who hate creativity (except Sage and Fonseca) or just a lack of talent to take advantage of what he is good at. On the talented team that he got to play, U21 on he's been best player on the pitch when he gets time ever since he was 16 (and inexplicably benched by Titi when he's finally 20).

Supporters of Graelish say Pep stifled his creativity.

This club has been heavily linked to Osimhen. Sneaky suspicion is this is a ploy to hurry Osimhen and his camp along.

He's not Graelish (no offense to Graelish but when Cherki was 14-16 it was pretty unanimous he was the most talented prospect France had ever had) and the coaches I'm talking about weren't pep. The worst was grosso who had them getting relegated after half a season and completely refused to play what was clearly their best player. When sage took over cherki won them game after game in the second half and they got Europe. Lyon has persistently had major issues in the attack and midfield usually so he had to really force things, but he is so effective at getting the ball to smart players I think City is going to score tons of goals next year

I understand where you're coming from. I was merely pointing to an example of a creative player who, over the years under Pep, seemingly lost that ability due to the playstyle.

I am curious to see how that works this time around, considering Cherki is linked to Manchester City.

Note I do believe he'll provide plenty of assists to the likes of Haaland and Marmoush. However, from what I've been told by a Lyon supporter, his off-the-ball play (pressing and tracking back) is lacking.

He doesn't have good pace. I think this year he's been alright about giving those things an effort, but he will create chances all day and is useful for getting out of the press as well, I think even the biggest teams should find it worth it.

Also when people/coaches complain about his attitude as someone who amways watches Lyon , it's been his frustration with teammates not passing him the ball. Never heard of anything off the pitch, but especially when he was younger he would always gesticulate about not getting the ball when his teammates missed a chance, even when it was a great chance and not easy to pass it. That's toned down noW

Osimhen just rejected a 25m a year offer from Saudi, because he wanted more money.
As a club you don't want a guy like that disrupting your team.

I'm glad Arsenal is staying away from him.

There is a very real chance Osimhen stays with Gala, unless Al Hilal comes up with another crazy offer. I dont think he really wants to go to Saudis, no one else in europe will pay him that kind of a contract either.

I think he is using Saudis to get more money from Gala, not the other way around.

As I said that apparently he is on his way to Saudi Arabia again, oh well.
