But congrats you got your wish. Hope it works out cause if it doesn't youre getting COOOOOOOOOKED.

Nah, $30 million to do nothing is the dream, I'm incapable of feeling any remorse or empathy for someone with that much money who gets to wake up and can fly to Fiji on a whim if they want. He should just go coach college, that is more suited to him if we're being honest.

It's too late Guan0, even if I come crashing down I'll be up higher than I was when this all started. I'll also alert the authorities now, the new RealGM protects monsters such as myself that know how to read the laws.

I feel ya. Its hard to feel empathy for people that aren't getting wrecked by capitalism.

You got me worried.... what is this new realgm sht. Ive been sporadic around here since we got bounced. Did our boy meLo get got?

It's impossible for me to feel bad for any coach that's paid and got fired.

You gotta read the sticky threads Guano, I see them and read them, just so I can understand how close I can get to the line without going over. I assume he had too many parole violations.

Also, one report stated that he has an out clause in his CT contract so he could jump to the NBA whenever he wants. Plus, a different article stated that his dream is to lead an NBA team (maybe the Knicks) to a title one day after he's accomplished that in the NCAA already.

No question. No retreads, unless the resume backs it up.

this is my only problem with this. thibs made some mistakes but this wasn't one of them. gotta change the roster if you're really serious about winning it all.

Yes. I like to think an innovative coach could make the JB/KAT offense almost unstoppable. (fwiw I have some ideas  ). However I really struggle to see how to have them be a power-house on defence. Not really to criticise either, but the Knicks probably need to trade one. Obviously it's easy to think about KAT to PHX. But what about a Booker-JB trade? Obviously that is probably too much organizational disruption. But Mitch-KAT-OG-Bridges-Booker looks kinda fine, :D

The body is still warm but all that freelancing Karl did on defense needs to be addressed because a man just lost his job over this

But is that at least paritally due to an overcomplicated and /or just a bad system not tailored to minimizing his weaknesses and/or asking him to do too much

Kat killed thibs and meLo.

When you put it like that, we need to immediately put his jersey in the rafters. Even if he's traded, the amount of change KAT has brought about has been legendary, thank you big bodega.

Its the only thing that would make me feel better right now. I love Thibs but I do admit it may have been time for him to go.

still, everyone who's being honest knows that there was something fundamental that changed this year that had nothing to do with coaching. this year felt different after the changes we made. so go make some more.

There was... but a big part of it was that we still had Thibs and got anti-Thibs players. The personnel philosophy shifted from the coaching philosophy.

i don't believe there's a philosophy that works with enough bad defenders. i guess d'antoni would argue otherwise. but he never did win it all either.

You might be right. I ain't gonna guarantee we'll be better like some here. But I think you have to try as moving the guys we have here for better guys that fit Thibs is a much harder thing to do than try to find a new voice.

it's weird to say but i feel like booker took a slight step back recently. i don't put him as high as i once did.

yeah, wright has been super candid about wanting no part in NBA coaching.

Dude is living the life in retirement...gets paid a **** ton to do very little on TV. He has a cushy job.

Its either going to be a Hurley

or I personally think its going to be a Johnny Bryant or that type.

I just don't see retred...its tough to justify a Malone who has the same issues why he was fired in DEN...relies on starters, doesn't trust the bench, stubborn with his schemes.

You either fire Thibs to go modern or you fire him to get a big name like Hurley.

He's not a perfect coach, but in our experience, he was far from the biggest problem even if he was scapegoated to be just that. I like this Knicks team. Hopefully, this proves to be the right move for them. It wasn't for us.

Here's to hoping the Knicks don't make the same mistakes as the Bulls have.

Here's what I'll add. He's really good at hiding roster holes that aren't being filled by an incompetent GM. This Knicks team is much more talented and better constructed than we were after Rose went down, but if you go back and look at some of our rosters, it's a pure miracle we made the playoffs. We literally won a round with Nate Robinson as our most dangerous scorer.
