If you could pick any name available out there who would feel great?

Personally I like the JVG idea and the Bryant idea, both offer different things. Id take either.

if there's one guy I'd look to trade, it's Josh Hart

love the hustle and all the energy, but in the playoffs, he's kinda a liability when we need half-court offense. White Donte was more valuable to this squad than Hart b/c in addition to being a solid defender, he could shoot lights out, and we need someone who can come off of screens and hit catch and shoot 3's. Hart is a great rebounder and can score in transition, but we need more utility than that for the playoffs. his defense isn't lockdown enough to warrant playing him that many minutes either given the rest of his skillset.

at 19.4M, he's quite tradable, and I'm sure plenty of other teams could use him. Hate to break up the chemistry, but I'd rather keep Jalen, Mikal, OG, KAT in tact and the only other tradable assets (in terms of sending out salary) are Hart, Mitch, and Deuce

Rose is going to have way way more information than us, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt whoever he chooses. But I'm betting the focus will be on modernizing our system and integrating a bench.

We're not gonna. Chuck Daly's not walking through that door.

It'll have to be somebody who is either new to NBA HCing or ready to step up with a roster that fits them.

they also probably want someone more lock and step with the FO and analytics. Yes Leon and Thibs had a relationship but Thibs was stubborn. The facts players and FO members suggest things and he only makes changes when we are facing an 0-2 deficit. That is no Bueno!

i think jeff is more adaptable than people think. but he'll be somewhat like thibs. there are more coaches like thibs than people realize. i would have loved udoka but he's a lot like thibs too.

it was never happening....you aren't firing Thibs to bring in a slighty younger version of thibs that was fired and had the same complaints as thibs.

There's no understanding of triage, applying a tourniquet, of adapting to your opponent's tendencies, and you often actually play right into their hands because they know you are just going to keep spamming the same brute force tendencies and multiply the damage, making yourself bleed out even faster.

This describes the Indiana series perfectly. Carlisle coached circles around Thibs. Rope A Dope.

Flawed couches are the worst to sit on. Though I hear J.D. Vance likes 'em. :D

This is probably the last coach move Leon Rose gets to make so I do wonder if he'll take a chance on anyone without NBA head coach experience.

Has a team with deep playoff ambitions ever gone and hired a college coach?

Isn't usually rebuilding teams that usually take a shot?

My memory sucks.
