CHI/CHA
Charlotte trades #34, 2026 2nd (better of GSW/DEN), 2029 DEN 2nd, Josh Green, Jusuf Nurkic
Chicago trades Nikola Vucevic, Lonzo Ball
Hornets gets a couple vets that can help them become a bit more respectable next season. This alone isn't getting Charlotte to the playoffs, but you have to start somewhere, and a rotation of:
Melo/[VJ or Johnson]/Miller/Bridges/Mark + Lonzo/[MLE guard, Beasley?]/Okogie/Diabate/Vucevic + potentially Mann/Grant Williams coming back from injury actually resembles a good rotation compared to the trash Charlotte was working with last season off the bench.
Vucevic in particular is a solid catch for Charlotte, who needs a big minute C capable of starting, behind Mark Williams due to his injury history. Vucevic probably wouldn't be totally out of place playing spot minutes with him either, and is the kind of big you can make Diabate at the 4 work with.
Chicago continues the tear-down process with a high 2nd and 2 future 2nds. Nurk for Vuc is exp for exp (worth a couple 2nds), and Lonzo (potential expiring) for Josh Green is probably worth the #34.

Re: CHI/CHA
Feels a bit light for Chicago, but fixable. I think the difference between Vuc and Nurk is more than 2 future 2nds. 34 is probably about right for Ball/Green. Ball is more useful if he's playing, but Green at least plays offsetting some of that.
But like the idea here. Hornets should try and get more competitive, Bulls should try and get less and pick up what assets they can.

i'm fine giving up a fourth 2nd (a distant one, not #33 this year) if it gets the deal done but no 1st round pick is exchanging hands for these dudes

Charlotte trades for a guy who literally said he wants his brother in LA playing for the Clippers.
Yeah and he's injury prone exactly what Charlotte needs!

Re: CHI/CHA
I don't mind dealing Ball, but taking on Green's extra year is a no go for Chi
What about Okogie/Nurkic/#33 for Vuc/Ball?
Bulls save some $ and add a good 2nd
Char gets 2 very solid vets
Honestly, I'd prefer to keep Ball but I still like Vuc for Nurkic and #34

I don't really want Ball, but I love dealing Green!
How about just Vuc for Nurkic and number 33.
Problem with having Lonzo on the Hornets is what if you need to cut him to free up the roster spot or something, could be awkard.

Re: CHI/CHA
Charlotte should start to cash out equity from the 11 firsts and 12 second round picks.
Bulls seem willing to reboot around Giddey, White, and Buzelis. Those guys should be off limits for their reboot.
But I feel Charlotte should be targeting youngish-healthy Bulls like Jalen Smith & Ayo Dosunmu. Especially if we are dealing borderline 1st round picks.

Re: CHI/CHA
The Bulls are not tearing down around three guys. The people who just look at the numbers on trade machines see Lonzo Ball as a $10M asset and not a player. He's ore valuable to the Bulls as a steady and respected leader on and off the court, they didn't resign him to a small contract to ship him out. He agreed to this extension because he wanted to remain in CHI, he could have declined their offer and just left town but he didn't did he?
A boatload of SRP's isn't going to help the Bulls unless they strip down the roster which, hey news flash, they aren't interested in doing. Josh Green's potential expired, no change of scenery or new coach or anything is going to renew it. Unless the Bulls get some serious incentive they aren't going to pay Nurkic for a full season to be a major step down from Vucevic.
