Although if we can't get a really good defensive 7 ft+ big i wouldn't be against going mostly offense at 7 ft+ as well with a guy like Kat if available.

I kind of like Atlanta walking out with Queen, Toppin, Hauser and Clayton without losing anything roster-wise.
Although it seems like the opposite direction of what they've been doing lately, focusing on getting defense-oriented players, those guys are talented but not exactly known for their defense.

If the draft shakes like this I wouldn’t make the Hauser trade for 22.
Not sure who Stevens likes though?

I don’t know how the league views Hauser but his contract isn’t bad, Boston doesn’t necessarily need to move off of him if the move Porzingis/Holliday.

Does anyone know if this Gil Brandt NFL style draft chart holds any sway in NBA front offices? I've seen this float around a bit, but unlike the NFL, I've never heard of actual teams using it to evaluate deals. And I think in part because of how many fewer league level prospects are in an NBA draft. In the NFL when you trade back, you know you are going to get a quality player still.

But maybe this is something teams are really using and I'm just ignorant? So curious if anyone knows.

It's minor but I would be pretty upset if the Blazers took Demin over Kasparas and Essengue.

They definitely don't use this. Here was a quick explanation from Pelton on his chart:

As always, note that this reflects what picks should be worth based on historical outcomes. In practice, teams pay a premium to move up

So this isn't based on past trades. It isn't a tool teams actually look to. It's analyzing the value teams got out of each pick historically, and then assigning a value to that. Along the same lines of charts you see where, Draft pick 3 turns in to a star X% of the time, a starter X%, etc. And then you weigh all those in to a numerical value.

So it's not really a good trade guide, IMO. And year to year would obviously alter it a ton, as a draft with a Wemby at the top versus one with Risarcher at the top are not going to have that same 4000 point value he assigns.
