Why would KD be a better Thunder player than SGA if he wins them a chip honestly?

As of today:
KD
SGA
Russ

But if SGA wins a ring, he would be #1 imo

What exactly did Durant accomplish in OKC that SGA hasn't?

If SGA leads OKC to their first championship and is final's MVP, he's the only logical option in my eyes.

Any such list should be excluding the Seattle players for sure and at some future point in time Durant exit would have hurt a lot less and only OKC fans would care who was the greatest OKC player ever so right now the list .

1. Russ
2. Durant
3. SGA

Win a title and he will definitely overtake Durant and a FMVP means he’s probably 1st. Greatest ever from fans point of view means more than just stats.

A washed up Chris Paul took a young & inexperienced Thunder roster to a better record than Russ (without KD) ever did. And further in the Playoffs.

Stop overrating Russ

You should have seen the pre Pat Beverly knee dive injury Russ. People dont really remember.

i used to be a foreign sonics fan, but that kd and russ era captivated me so much that i became a fanatic for this team.

durant and westbrook won't ever be strangers to me, always with a special place. they were founders of my liking for this organization with presti

these guys playing for the thunder are still kids to me, and i love them. but the feeling is different.

Durant and SGA are the two real superstars, I think it is a matter of time when SGA becomes number 1.

Why do people act like Westbrook was never really good? OKC hasn't been around very long as a franchise, there's nothing wrong at all with Westbrook being their franchise GOAT.

What I'll remember most about Westbrook in an OKC uniform is how much of a stat padder he became once he was the #1 option. It was pretty sickening to watch, especially those rebounds during his MVP year.

Doesn't take away from his talents during his prime but he never contributed enough towards winning for me to say that those talents were anything better than stats on a stat sheet.

I agree mostly with this statement but I'd put Kawhi ahead of Bosh. Bosh left Raptors for greener pastures and he really did not do anything to move the needle while he was here.

I'm still salty about Kawhi leaving but his 1 year was worth way more than Bosh's 7 years (iirc), imo.

The question wasn't

'Who was the best in basketball, and played in OKC'

The question was about

'the greatest player ever for OKC', so it is mostly on OKC fans to answer.

After 2016, Durant is N/A in these conversations for me as a fan. I still apreciate his basketball pedigree, but I won't really rank him among the franchise greats.

As for the Russ&SGA convo, rooting for Westbrook was one of the most fun ways of enjoying basketball, through all the ups and downs. SGA is a way more methodical basketball player, but probably a better player in the end when it's all said and done.

If we go on to win the chip this year, he'll surpass Russ very easily. Man already has 3 All NBA First teams to his name at the age of 26, something Russ doesn't have. Add the MVP this season to equal things there, and an FMVP on top? The only argument Russ would have over him would be sustainability.

So yeah, I'll probably name Shai at the top if he wins this title.

most people say WB is the best

Look, WB has 2 scoring titles and 2 assist titles in a OKC Thunder jersey

Durant has 4 scoring titles in a OKC Thunder jersey

both have 1 MVP in OKC

I'd say that 2 scoring and 2 assist is more impressive, plus the triple double seasons. I would say Westbrook is above KD

then comes KD

the comes SGA

Now, if SGA wins the ring and FMVP he's the clear #1 in OKC, but for now he's #3.

SGA tops everything in the history of OKC with a championship. Once he wins one, he probably ends up with multiple rings, if the front office can keep the roster happy.

Yeah, they were so top heavy that they played a lot of compromised players such as Roberson (even though he butchered GSW in 2016 inside). Anthony Morrow was strictly 1 dimensional as well, Kanter an awful defender.

If the thunder win the title and he gets MVP. He's the best Thunder of all time. Westbrook and Durant will just have a longer tenure. That will also be passed. My best guess is the Thunder do win it all and he Wins MVP to go with his regular season MVP to sweep all the season and playoff accomplishments. He'd have to be the goat Thunder.

The Thunder have been blessed.

SGA vs Russ is like Tim Duncan vs Vince Carter (prime). The head knows it's Duncan but the heart wants it to be Carter.
