I've been pushing for his signing everywhere for like the last 3 weeks.

He's good and I want to sign him too, but the problem is we only have about 4-5M before hitting the tax.
With the current roster, the FO won't go into the tax.
If we end up trading for a star like Giannis, or we free up some cap room, then that may change.

Start Agbaji as the 3&D wing, move RJ to the sixth-man role, and let him and Dick try to replicate their earlier run where both dropped 25 a game, except this time, it should be even easier since they'll be up against backup units.
If you’re gonna bench RJ might as well trade him either as part of a Giannis trade or a separate one.
No need to bring a 25M a year player off the bench.
I wonder what a RJ plus 9th pick could get us if Giannis trade is a no-go.
$25M is not that much anymore.
We paid Serge that to come off the bench a half decade ago and it worked out

I'm guessing they move off of Ochai for a backup big.

Barnes + RJ + Dick + 2 1st
I can't see a lot of teams beating that offer.

No money unless we trade some of our salary away or do a sign and trade.

I would definitely do this:
RJ + 9th pick for Cam Johnson + 19th pick
Cam Johnson will be a great piece next to Barnes and Ingram. We can still get a rotation piece at 19; possible guys like Flemming will be there, along with maybe even Coward, Gonzalez, Clayton, Wolf, Raynaud etc.

Make it: RJ. 9th, 39th pick for Cam Johnson, 19th, 26th and I'm in! Saves us some salary cap money, and saves BKN having to dole out another guaranteed salary (i.e. even more flexibility to make moves)

You guys think Cam Johnson is that much if an upgrade over RJ to drop 10 spots in the draft? Thats a no for me unless its part of a bigger Giannis trade.
