Re: 2025 NBA Draft
I’m a little lazy to read through 88 pages, but is there anyone in here a fan of Cedric Coward?
https://youtu.be/ljIA-HcrzFg?si=frJhniaW02PEB3fu
Seems like someone Orlando would be gunning for and even trying to trade up for.

he's in my 5 guys I'd like to draft list, don't think he's still there at 25 which is where I project our 1st pick in the draft to be.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

I like him. My guess is you have to jump okc to get him.Magic_Johnny12 wrote:I’m a little lazy to read through 88 pages, but is there anyone in here a fan of Cedric Coward?

I’m assuming you think we move 16?

yup it's the cost of business when we upgrade a guard.

OKC is ALWAYS one step ahead of us.
I can see SA or ATL moving their pick. I don’t think Orlando is completely out of range though and has enough to move up if they thought he was worth it.
I’m just afraid he goes a lot higher than people assume (top-10).

I just don’t know how this roster brings in 2 rookies… I would be shocked if we make 25. I also don’t think Clayton will be there at 25.
Like only way I see us using both 1st picks is if we do like a couple trades with like Cole Black Isaac and a fourth guy. But I don’t see how our picks don’t go out in any addition trade we try to make
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
Kinda funny how OKC has the picks right before the magic at 15 & 24. So if they select a guy right before the magic who turns out to be a stud (highly possible), we will all scream up in arms about it lol.
GO MAGIC

Draft both Fears and Coward. Would be fun to hear those names on the same team.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
Hansen Yang at 25th pick for us, guys?
We could decline Goga and pick Yang up at that range. Dude is a good shooter plus can play off of Pick and Roll. Won the DPOY in China last season.
Could be a interesting pick up for us. Anyone?

I really like his movement on defense in the footage I’ve seen. I’ve said it before but it just gives me strong flashes of what we’re seeing Nesmith do in the playoffs right now. His footwork and ability to absorb contact and stay upright but then have his wingspan and hops in reserve when he gets beat.

I really want Clayton Jr and Coward but yeah, 2 rookies in the backcourt, or even on the wings, is probably too much. Though these are a couple of the older more ready now guys.
Here’s my biggest thing - it seems to happen often that a local Florida kid either wants to play in Orlando or is a popular option, but the Magic never go after those guys. Austin Rivers, Simons, Tre Mann - didn’t always have the opportunity to take them and it’s not like we’ve missed out on another Tmac, but still… bring one of these kids home! Simons, Tre or Clayton Jr all do what the team needs.

Kinda reminds me of a young Kawhi

I know I know we said the same thing about Chuma

I didn’t - I wanted NAW

But that’s why I’m keeping expectations at a safe level and saying Nesmith. I just want him to be a solid to high end 3&D guy. If he is capable of more, amazing, but that isn’t a factor in why I’d be drafting him.

If you want a big for 25th... get Raynaud or Kallbrenner... better projections than Yang.

It's so annoying. Luckily, they weren't 1 step ahead in 2022.

Chinese fans would be a boon to the Magic too.

He is just a downgrade Yi Jianlian, not Yao Ming
