Boston won 61 games and was considered a title favorite all year. 4th and 5th for them is a lot different than 4th and 5th for a team trying to make the play in like Utah presumably is if they're trying to win (any higher is unrealistic). Those 2 along with Markannen, IMO, form a reasonable top 3 for a team trying for the play. Problem is the West is already SO TOUGH and Jrue's age/KP's injury history make them unreliable.
Which is exactly what I meant with my post.
You get a Jrue 2 years older than the one that started the year they got the title + a Porzingis older that played 40 games this season. They are good but they are nowhere near the level of players to be considered a top3 from a contending team. I love Jrue, but he will give you 15/5 with decent defense, that is not a top3 player of any contending team that does not have a star at the level of Tatum, Jokic, Shai, Luka, Mitchel, Curry, etc...
Porzingis played 50% of possible games this last 2 seasons? How does that Utah team will fare in the regular season with only Jrue and Lauri for half of those games?
It is laughable to pretend that this trio could more than double the amount of wins the current jazz team had this year, since doubleing it wouldnt even be enough for the play in. LAUGHABLE
