- 7 players were out on Thibs (not JB or Hart. Probably not KAT either)
- Kidd is in play
- Bryant not the #1 option
- Julius fought somebody last year
- Knicks are trying to trade for Giannis without losing KAT
- No KD

I'm 50-50 on Kidd, but if he comes as a package deal with Giannis, I guess that'd be fine.

I just don't see how you acquire Giannis without gutting the team, though. I also don't see Giannis as a guy that would force his way out and only demand to come to the Knicks, but who knows.

I don’t see a scenario where Brunson (or Mitch Robinson) play as well as they have for another coach as they did for Thibs.

the problem with "source" guys is they can get 1 piece of information that turns out be true and use that attention to speculate on 100 other things they really have no idea about.

he sounds young enough where I think they clearly are friends with either dolan's son or someone Leon or WWW knows...they know enough to relay the info that they canned thibs ahead of time and they know enough to say someone form the FO reached out to Kidd's agent.

So my guess to keep feeding information they basically are told to STFU until they are allowed break some news. Obviously he's getting some information but its not coming from Dolan/Leon/WWW directly chances are its coming from there children 2nd hand...ect.

That's not happening. Knicks don't have the luxury of spending the few draft picks they have left to spend as compensation for hiring away another coach under contract.

Giannis and Kidd are an interesting pairing since they spent several years together.

Moving OG + Bridges + Mitch for Giannis is rough but maybe you can fill the bench out with CP3 and Horford.

Dlo and Kat are best friends so maybe he would come for cheap. Dlo is probably cooked though.

With Thibs gone, at least we have a chance to lure some free agents as role players if we go the big 3 route
