Giannis is way more valuable than those 3 yes. You would have serious depth and balance concerns. Giannis wants to score...Brunson is a natural scorer and a passer second. Obviously KAT needs the ball. Would KAT be a 3rd option...if he's a 3rd option is he defending enough to warrant his scoring taking a hit?

Then you would need shooting at the 2 and 3 but also a POA defender (I guess that would be McBride). Then you would need another quality defending 3 that could shoot as well. I don't think you could start Hart with Giannis for spacing problems.

With the CBA it certainly would be a challenge to fill out the rest of the starters.

Would the new CBA have some allowance for players deals which are already in effect? Would think they’d have to.

KAT is a super efficient scorer. He can get his 20+ with 15-20 shots and within the flow of the offense. Thats the great thing about his game.

Putting everything aside, I really feel bad for thibs. I posted this in January, I seen it coming.

For a man that dedicated his entire life to basketball, no wife.. no kids, and to have only been out the second round once and hated by two fanbases (CHI and Minny) really sucks. Right now the Knicks is Last Chance U for him.. remember he was out of the NBA, if it weren't for Leon his coaching career probably would've been over. So if he can succeed here, it will make all his sacrifices worthwhile. But right now, history is not looking to favorable for him and I hate that for someone with so much passion.

Suns picked OTT. Knicks gonna pick Bryant. All of these other names are just smoke screens. Bryant has been with the organization. Players love him. Apparently he's a genius on the Xs and Os. He's available and He comes without giving up any assets. Not sure why the FO would look anywhere else.

Idk low-key Kidd is a legitimate candidate and he might not want to coach a bunch of often injured guys and Cooper Flagg. It doesn’t help he didn’t know they were going to trade Luka.

Is this account legit?

How the hell Udoka gunna pop up as a candidate this morning, gain crazy traction, then shut down by night? Like wtf.

Crazy click-bait. Why the heck would Udoka walk through Houston's judgement and become accepted there. Then build a dam good team just to come to NYC and through triple the drama. Haha too funny.

Well said.. same here. For as much as I’ve wanted him to be fired for basketball reasons, when it happened, I actually felt bad for him on a human level because of everything you mentioned.

Suns owner apparently loves Michigan State…it’s suspicious that some of his hires have ties

ffs I didnt realize we would have to trade for Kidd.

That would be horrendous

Suns were always picking the Michigan State guy since Ishbia is an alum, that owner doesn't have their priorities in order. This guy let the person who thought it was a good idea to put Marbury and Francis in the same back court together convince him that getting Beal would be the big 3 that got them to a title. Sheesh.

I don't have to explain to this forum who this 'legendary basketball mind' that also had a renowned professional pro career in Michigan is. Destroyed the Knicks for a decade worth of time with his shenanigans extending beyond his actual employ in NY.

Hopefully, Rose doesn't screw this up and just gets Bryant. It's fine if he wants to give the respectful nod towards Kidd since Brunson probably loves him so much but at the end of the day we know who is the right pick for this team at this moment. No way Rose really coughs up assets to get him, considering the dearth of them now.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

we knew shenanigans are going on with CAA invovled. We have just been ok with it since Leon has been here he has won. And it helped us get Brunson.

Winning trumps all.

I question how this is going to impact the coaching search. Its a great job, loaded with talent, but having to deal with the star players dad on the staff is absurd. And might have a real negative impact on the search and the eventually the 'winning'

Had about enough of the media scolding the "non-expert" fans who wanted a better coach for this team. We get it, Thibs is a basketball encyclopedia, but there's so much more to coaching than how much information you have. You need a coach who connects with players, motivates, teaches, correctly assesses player talent & potential, adapts with the changing league, has vision & foresight, is trusted as a leader, etc, etc. He coached some of the most boring, predictable, unenjoyable basketball I've ever seen, went all-in on regular season wins and the same rotation as if he had it all figured out. When he realized he didn't it was too late to set his pride aside. He'll be fine, Knicks will be fine, no real reason to predict the demise of either.
