late round sleepers

Post#1 » by bucknut » Sat May 31, 2025 5:13 am

don't see threads on several guys but some guys standing out

lachlan olbrich - everyone likes to compare to boris diaw, and this man is the one guy that stands above all to me as close of a comp as i've seen. How is that a second rounder. Loves the crafty back down game, and passing out of it.
Neoklis Avdalas - the movement on this guy is pretty incredible.
hunter salis - looks like a professional scorer. Thought the hype was big on him as a lottery guy last year.
dawson garcia - almost 40 % 3 ball at 6-11, can iso score, and score at all 3 levels
lamont butler - the tj mcconnel path. He's decent at those jump stop mid ranges like tj
chaz lanier - the ncaa game vs wofford was one of the most nba looking scorers i've seen.

I like this Javon Small kid. Davion Mitchell defender with a 3 ball. Has dog in him.

i agree he has dog. Very good dribbler under pressure. Had alot of weight on his shoulders at wvu to be their high usage ball handler and penetrate to generate any offense for that team

the second round is very weak this year. The guy i am most intrigued by I think is olbrich. More like boris diaw then penda is. Very jack of trades unique skillset

I like Isaac Nogues. Can't shoot at all. Can pass, and an incredible defender. Could see him carving out 8 minutes a game to disrupt someone's offensive flow. Think Josh Hart but can't shoot at all.

i think this dude has a shot to make a solid NBA Career.. absolute sniper, isn't a negative defensively and has solid IQ.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

I know hes returning to Duke, but is anyone else a Maliq Brown fan?

He's a defensive menace. IMO he was the best defender on Duke featuring a team with Flagg, and Maluach.

Excellent athlete, and top tier defensive instincts. He's also a solid passer, but his offense does need work, but his defense is excellent.

Tamar Bates. Smooth lefty shooting guard with a 6'10 wingspan. Kind of reminds me of Cuttino Mobley when he was with Houston.

Dink Pate can run an offense, hustles, has high BBIQ and decent size and athleticism for a 3. I think if he had been allowed to play PG and gone to college he'd be thought of as a lottery pick as he has that kind of talent. Just watching him play the point at the combine and he has the handle, can navigate the PnR and through traffic, can get by guys and kicks out to open shooters. He's active on defense too. Problem is he chose his route to the NBA poorly and his shot needs work. But I could see him at minimum being a solid bench wing and if he can fix his shot he has starter ability. I'm hoping the Kings take him and actually give him a shot at running point

just to remind you who he is

I think Chazz Lanier might slip into the first round- elite shooter, measured great and tested well athletically.

I doubt any of these guys get drafted, but these are all great SL or 2Way targets IMO.

Defensive Guards
Kadary Richmond and Chucky Hepburn

Bigs
Viktor Lakhin, Vladislav Goldin, Clifford Omoruyi and Obinna Anochili Killen

Fun Forwards
Igor Milicic Jr, Jonathan Pierre, John Poulakidas
