If everyone was healthy and options weren't a worry, who would you guys put as our top 5 starters?

I think I'd go

1. Freddy
2. Cortes
3. Quintana
4. Misiorowski
5. Henderson

It's so tough to leave off Priester & Patrick though with what we've seen from them. And Civale is certainly a capable big league starter himself. Not too mention Tobias Myers who was awesome last season

1 - Freddy
2 - Misiorowski
3 - Henderson
4 - Patrick
5 - Quintana

Woodruff, Cortes, Myers, or Ashby could get up there. Haven't been impressed by Preister but he looks to be figuring some things out.

I totally forgot about Woodruff lol, but I don't think he'd even be in my top 7 or so. Curious as to why you're so low on Cortes? Was it just the start against the Yankees?

Not so much that I'm down on Cortes, but I like the five guys I've got above him. 1 through 3 are a lock. Patrick hasn't really given a reason to doubt him yet. Quintana just seems to perform and he's probably got the best command in the rotation. But Cortes could could be #4 and I wouldn't argue.

But I hope they stretch Ashby out. Outside of Misorowski his stuff has looked the best this year.

I’ve been abroad the better part of two weeks. Tracked that were playing well but not much else. Whats the read on how we’ve been playing? Regressing (up) to the mean? Hot streak? Fluke? Too soon to tell? Yes?

Our key hitters have been better, especially Yelich but Contreras & Chourio too. Durbin has also been better and Hoskins hasn't slowed down. Combine that with some really nice pitching performances and things are going good right now. Not sure if it's a fluke or if guys are just turning it around

Payamps ended up going to AAA? Kind of thought somebody else maybe would’ve taken a shot to see if could tap into his success a few years back.

Passan, nothing out of the ordinary here

Objective: Hit enough to stay in the wild-card race.

If they were to unload someone, it could be: Right-handed starter Aaron Civale

What to know: The Brewers are no stranger to navigating a deadline with multiple objectives. They're willing to take risks that are unpopular with their fans. They're capable, with one of the deepest farm systems in baseball, of landing a top deadline target. They are perfectly comfortable doing both -- or neither.

A week ago, the Brewers were underachievers. Seven consecutive wins later, they're back in the postseason mix. They are the quintessential middle-of-the-pack team, and there are around a dozen teams within four games of .500, which speaks to how things can -- and will -- change between now and July 31. If the Brewers stay hot, they'll be on the hunt for a bat, specifically one on the left side of the infield. They have plenty of pitching depth from which they can trade, with rookies Chad Patrick and Logan Henderson alongside Freddy Peralta, Jose Quintana, Quinn Priester, Tobias Myers and Civale, who is a free agent after this season.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Right in the Wild Card mix now. Gained 5 games on the Giants in the last 10 games. Obviously have a chance to gain in the Padres this weekend too.

16 of the next 22 at home. Good chance to make a move especially since playing teams they would hypothetically be battling a wild card with late season. And some against the Cubs (road) in that stretch. This hot stretch has at least kept us in shouting distance of them.

I would think if any of the stuff Woodruff had done yesterday had showed something serious we would have heard by now. Hopefully.

At this point is Brice Turang the best player on the Brewers? He was 2nd on the team in WAR last year, slightly behind Contreras. This year he is well ahead of anyone else on the Crew in WAR. Seems like he has a really good case as the top guy on the squad
