He was going to be fired the year before if he didn't win the title. They felt that he was too defensively rigid (committed to drop coverage even when it didn't make sense), never adapted to the opponent, poor clock management, and reportedly lost the trust of Giannis.

We dont need to stray too far from Thibs and reinvent the wheel. We just need a different voice with maybe a different offensive philosophy.
