No. He didn't do anything wrong to be fired imo. Just ran into a red hot Playoff Jimmy who went out of his mind in the 1st round after a 58 win season. As can be seen throughout the league, there is no loyalty anymore when it comes to coaches. Milwaukee went for the shiny new toy with Griffin until Doc weasled his way in.

He was going to be fired the year before if he didn't win the title. They felt that he was too defensively rigid (committed to drop coverage even when it didn't make sense), never adapted to the opponent, poor clock management, and reportedly lost the trust of Giannis.

Sounds almost like you're describing a former Knicks coach whose name escapes me. Thibs?

We dont need to stray too far from Thibs and reinvent the wheel. We just need a different voice with maybe a different offensive philosophy.

I would actually like to see the old ESPN analyst combo of JVG and Mark Jackson at the helm. They could work well together and I think Mark deserves another shot at preaching.

Mark has been blacklisted for a reason.

He might have wanted to check his heavy handedness in terms of pushing his faith onto other people and his homophobia at the door before taking that job. Just saying.

Also, the fact that Golden State's potential was unlocked by Steve Kerr and not him is a red flag.

And more flexible defensive philosophy, better rotations, player management, development of the kids, more three point shots from our guys and less from the other guys....

My gut instinct says that Bryant is the guy but I can't say anyone who wants someone with actual head coaching experience is wrong either.

I'm good with with Bryant, Danny, or Kidd. I'll hold my nose.
