Its more cuz we wouldnt give up a top 10-15 nba mvp for a 37 yo old KD.

Itll be for Bridges, Mitch, Hart and Dadiet for KD, Nick Richards. The salaries almost match perfectly with a 3rd team involved receiving minor draft comp and sending a low level player to balance it out under the cba rules for teams above 1st apron

Yeah, but Phoenix didn't want him. You have to start there. It didn't say the Knicks wouldn't do it for KAt. It said the Suns wouldn't.

I can’t see us dealing for KD or Giannis given the lack of depth. It’s already a problem and will be so much worse after one of those deals.

What a horrible trade… two starters and Mitch who is a starter if healthy and Dadiet their first rounder from last year for a 37 year old who needs an extension.

I heard Isiah Thomas was back with the org but I didn’t know they hired him to replace Leon Rose…..

PR Spin. They know the Knicks wouldnt trade KAT for KD. It makes what they get back look like thats what they wanted all along.

Absolutely. It will have some 3rd team involved that will get some minor draft comp to balance it out so it works (just like the KAT deal for Divo and Randle).

Mitch: injury prone and on last year of deal
Bridges: also on last year of deal and broke the cardinal rule of keeping stuff in house
Hart: needed to balance out the contracts and is a role player.

We get a younger, healthier 5 back in Richards and of course a title run with Kevin Durant.

Again with all that said , I prefer JJJ or Giannis but it depends on what we can pull off....

You don’t get a title run, you get 37 year old Durant.

Maybe it turns to a title run but if it doesn’t it turns into 38 year old extended Durant or Cap space to try and get starters to replace the ones you gave up.

It’s such a dysfunctional Isiah type of trade, it’s scary.

Maybe and if Durant showed signs of slowing down some last year I would be more concerned. But he didn't.

During an episode of ESPN’s The Hoop Collective, NBA insider Tim MacMahon gave legitimacy to the growing rumors.

"So you’ve got to bring in a relationships guy. And listen, one of the names that’s been thrown out there is a man who’s under contract with another team, but definitely a guy who has relationships not just with Jalen Brunson, but with a lot of people in that organization."

"And that’s Jason Kidd. And what I will say about that is, I would not dismiss that possibility. And I’m not going to sit here and tell you that I know or even think that JKidd wants out of Dallas."

"That would be going way too far. What I can comfortably say is there certainly have been decisions, major franchise decisions that have been made, that he was not on board with."

One of which includes the firing of Casey Smith, who JKidd has been extremely tight with since his second tenure as a player in Dallas, who is now running the health and performance group for the New York Knicks."

37 year old KD's gravity doesn't outweigh rebounding, depth, play making and durability, heck it doesn't even give you more scoring. His "gravity" put the Suns in the lottery.

About 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists over last few years isn't exactly not contributing in playmaking and rebounding. Are you hurt bc he dissed us a few years back?

Still with that said my preference is defintely JJJ or Giannis if I could get him. But KD Without giving up KAT is most definitely interesting

Am I hurt? What does this have to do with me? :D You want to gut the team for a 37 year fossil and I dont think its a good idea.

You'd have to add either Huk, Kolek, Dadiet, or Deuce alongside KAT, but the trade actually works

I think most people here hate LeBron, but I love him, lol

I want him to win won just one more championship and surpass MJ as the ultimate GOAT

MJ may have six rings, but if LeBron beating the Warriors AND winning one with the Knicks in his 40's would be bigger accomplishments than any of MJ's six rings

I mean, I am the complete opposite of you on the LeBron stuff. He is of course immensely talented, but I feel like I can't compare him to other all time greats because I actually had to watch him. You look at the numbers and it tells one story. You actually sit and watch how it happens... Travels, offensive fouls, putting hands on guys with no call when they were calling touch fouls for him. I get the NBA needed their guy, but they took the Jordan calls and took it too far...

Knicks trade OG and Mitch to the Bucks for Giannis in the 2024-2025 season. Bucks have to send out 2 mil in salary to a third team.

Knicks trade KAT to Phoenix for KD. Salary difference in either 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 is less than 2 mil. This is what undeveloped rookies are for.

Knicks trade Bridges to Memphis for JJJ. Salary difference is under 2 mil again. Either year,

[edit for clarity: the Knicks need to dump 2m in salary for both of those trades to a third team. Luckily they already have Kolek, McCullars and Dadiet avaible for those dumps.]

Knicks trade Josh Hart to Minny for Donte and Dillingham.

In all cases... picks and whatever? Fine, maybe, tbd

Wild trades though and the results are a really good team

Dolan should definitely hire me ... to sit at Brock Aller's feet and have the knowledge seep in.

Him being closer to 40 than 30 alone is concerning

Nembhard should be the new starting PG for the Knicks.
