How are Suns fans even cheering on the Pacers?

Why not? I can't stand SGAs foul baiting so I'm rooting for Indiana but I'm not too invested in the outcome either way.

Yeah, I'm not too invested. I just think Pacers have more veterans that are going to help them win games over the Thunder's younger team. Plus, I'm not a fan of SGA's style of play all too much, though I do like both teams having good chemistry.

Re: NBA Playoffs 2025 (Poll created for Finals prediction)
Pacers chances entirely depend on Carlisle outcoaching the other team.
If Thunder locks in defensively, there is no one outside of Siakam that can score enough for Pacers... assuming referees call the game similarly to the Wolves Thunder series, where Edwards was shut down by Dort and Caruso and lack of creative shot making from others.
Haliburton is a good play maker but Carlisle gonna have to coach his best and get opening lanes for his wings against one of the best perimeter defense I've seen since the 2000s.
People hating on SGA are getting it wrong... he's just doing what he knows Referees will call. Referees stop awarding soft bait fouls, players will stop doing it.

Pacees have been my second favorite team since early 2000’s that’s why I’m rooting for them to get the job done. I also used to root for kings with Bibby, Webber, Peja etc but they normally came short just like the Suns.

How are Suns fans even Suns fans any more?

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Pacers are unreal. 24 turnovers to 6 and still get the dub. 6 players in double figures, almost 7 with McConnel getting 9 points. The Thunder only go as far as SGA takes them, they don't have another bucket getter.

I see Indy as a flash in the pan. Similar to Milwaukee (or the Suns for that matter). They may never get back here. OKC has dynasty potential and if they are going to win a few, I'd rather it not start now.

There will have been 7 different finals winners the last 7 years after the Warriors crazy run in the 2010's. Not sure I'd say there's a single dynasty in the league at the moment. Thunder are going to have to win something before they're even near that conversation.

I'm guessing because they have Haliburton, so it's a reminder or what could have been. But I'm not rooting against a player just so it will make our incompetent front office look good.

OKC historically good RS team, Pacers historically lucky. Let's see who wins a championship.

OKC has to be awfully careful in game 2. Indy got their split, just as in NY.
Haliburton getting the accolades…but this is Carlisle’s doing. He had a five out substitution in the 4th Q… who has the stones to do that? I bet it’s the first time in a non-blowout finals game. They seem to be the charmed team.

Carlisle got Dirk (and that weakish Dallas team) the chip... Rooting hard for Indy, but I still don't think they can pull it off... Here is hoping tho

Re: NBA Playoffs 2025 (Poll created for Finals prediction)
I love the Pacers and Carlisle has always been vastly underrated, but I will still be shocked if they win the series. I could see a backdoor sweep here, or possibly Indy winning one more. If it goes to 7 somehow, I still think OKC wins, but I think the pressure will be on them, and if it's really close at the end, I'd lean Pacers because they've just been in a lot more of those games. But I could see a game 7 blowout.
I usually don't pick a road team, but I could see OKC winning in 6 in Indy, in 5 or 7.
I think if Indy wins it will be an epic close 7th game. That might be the most fun. I like them both a lot. Probably OKC slighly better but not sure. I love Haliburton and most every Indy player. But I like pretty much both teams top to bottom.
It's so nice having a finals with no Lakers, Spurs, Warriors or Celtics, Heat, Cavs (Cavs would have been ok this year but of course over the past decade they've had their share). About the only other teams that have made it a few times over the last 20 or so years are the Mavs a few times, then the Nuggets, Raptors and Magic each once. Prior to 2006 you had a few different eastern teams (Pistion, Nets, Pacers, Sixers, Knicks, Bulls) in the previous 8 years....but it was still LA/SA every year back to 99 except the one Minny year.
