Pacers have much more experience playing close games. We never lose confidence.

I remember watching how coolly (I think) Nesmith inbounded the ball and how loose Hali looked when he caught it on the last regulation play of G1 in MSG and thinking, in real time, "That is not normal."

Whatever happens in Game 2, Pacers already did their job this early part of the series.

i wonder how mentally tough the Thunder are. Sure the Nuggets series tested them but this is the NBA Finals, some serious doubts were established today.

Haliburton has to play better if they want to win this series. Great shot to win it but he got moved off the ball in favor of Nembhard the last 4 minutes.

Siakam blocks SGA, Siakam Score, Haliburton Game-Winner in the last minute. Just a normal day at the office for the Team of Destiny.

From a team standpoint, it's actually great to have a team that has the players to take your primary ball handler off the ball and you can still be effective, any have a primary ball handler who is useful off the ball.

Many teams have failed to do as well as they could because if the primary guy is being over pressured they just can't support well enough.

Nembhard had "no-no-no, yes!" to some of his work down the stretch as well. I did not think he had it in him. Dude's offense hasn't shown up in the playoffs (his defense has been incredible though)

Offensively he was shooting lights out in the first two series.

Didn't do the best offensively against the Knicks though.

Damn, Haliburton even in a bad game can't miss when the game is on the line.

Overrated my ass.

I mean, he shot 6-13, with 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

If that's your "bad game" man, you're killing the game.

Stats are for people who don't watch & understand the game. If you did, you would realize that Haliburton wasn't only bad, he was a detriment to his team in the 2nd half until that last shot. OKC was literally hunting him on offense because he can't guard anybody. And Carlisle took the ball out of his hand because he wasn't getting anything done. He was the worst Pacer on the floor.

But hey, he's thr hero. And rightfully so. You make game winning shots, everything is forgiven. But sucked up until that point.

It was an ok game. He hits the game-winning shot (unlike Shai, who was better), which is really what matters like you said. And he takes offensive attention. But without Nembhard touching the stars in the fourth the offense probably isn't enough to get the Pacers in the position in the first place. He is who he always is; hopefully it'll get us a championship.

I wanted OKC to win this for SGA to start building a good legacy but it's hard not to like the Pacers.

You have to love teams that never quit.

Look at the Pacers and their roster construction.

It's remarkable stuff especially for a small market teams.

They have plenty of cap space and assets (picks/young players etc) to get better too.

Indy is what franchises like Charlotte/Portland should aspire to be.

Even if haliburton is the highlight of the win, I gotta give props to Nembhard. He was the most consistent for the Pacers today and was very key on defense.

He played incredible defense and managed to break the pressure Hali was struggling with

All ten (10) Pacers who played tonight scored and seven (7) had at least 9 points. That's a recipe for winning a series as an underdog.

It's a bit early to be writing his obituary, I thought he played pretty well tonight. My only complaints are he didn't control the tempo and he wasn't creating like he usually does. But his shot was money.

Carlisle is the best coach in the league and has been for a long time. He was the reason why the Pacers went to the Finals in 2000. And he was a huge reason for Dallas turning the corner 10 years later. And now he has the Pacers believing.

The man is great.

Carlisle wasn't the coach in 2000... Larry bird was.
