Because the last 2-3 finalists were beating injured teams

No one was beating the Celtics last season. We were due. Stop being a hater

Luka manages to dust MIN (who received crazy hype before that series) with the same ailments, not a peep.

BOS waxes the Mavs with ease, suddenly it's the "injuries" that also didn't prevent Luka from playing.

Holmgren and Dub have to be very good. If not, Thunder will lose again. It can't be SGA vs. Indiana.

I think OKC has the luxury of just needing one of them to show up big offensively to win games (alongside SGA). Obviously both being very good in a game makes them nearly unbeatable though. Do we think one (or both) can show up big in 4 of 6 games? I would bet on it but I need to review how JDub and Chet were guarded to see if they were overwhelmed by the moment tonight or if it was just great defense that smothered them.

38 points on 57% TS with 3 assists, 5 boards, 2 TOs, 3 steals in the finals as the player getting keyed on you all are actually brain dead.

And lost. He’s a fraud as is the okc “all time “ squad. Cutting edge defense with Alex caruso lol.

Carlisle is revealing yall

It was great finish to the game and the Pacers players deserve the credit. They came up big.

The Pacers led for 0.3 seconds and its 1 game out of 7.

The Thunder are still very much the favorite, one game doesn't change that. Now the pressure is on the Pacers to do better in game 2, because they played awful today.

JDubb is the one then because Chet is a garbage man on offense.

OkC is a great team with great defense and will probably still win, but i think they would benefit of trading one of Jdub or Chet ( with picks) for a true number [emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]]. SGA is great but okc lacks a reliable second scorer on the playoffs. Imagine if you could swap Holmgren( and picks) for Giannis? It would be a dynasty. Chet white chocolate aint it, hes just a roleplayer..

I don’t know if Chet gets you Giannis any more . People have seen enough to get an idea of what he is.

A 23 year old DPOY candidate

can't build around him. Jalen Williams would be more interesting. Chet is a role player and on another team his weaknesses will show more. Plus he is injury prone.

I still cannot believe that we turned the ball over 24 times, took 18 less shots than OKC did and yet we won.

If OKC doesn't care to involve Chet in the offense, then they might as well trade him this offseason. Embarrassing that jDub and SGA can chuck a million shots to get themselves going, but the moment Chet misses a few shots, he is benched for Wallace or some other small guard

Thunder are favorites to nerds who can’t understand basketball gameplay. There is nothing special about OKC.

If the Pacers sweep this series.

The Knicks will re-hire Thibs with a raise.

I honestly feel really bad for Kings fans... it has to hurt watching a young franchise point guard leading his team to the NBA finals... when he cried because yall traded him, and he wanted to retire a King.

People are petty. It was a hotly contested game. The Pacers never gave up and found away to win.

Barkley said something after the Pacers eliminated the Knicks. He said when you lose a playoff game that you're dominating, you now need to beat your opponent five times in 7 games to win a series. That's what makes it hard. The Pacers are now 7-2 on the road in these playoffs. They can win anywhere with how they play.

Chet and Jalen Williams can EASILY play poorly on the road in the Finals, just because of their youth. Forget the bench. The Thunder are NOT going to be able to blow out their way to a championship. They are going to have to win some grinder games. Maybe even 3.

Team of destiny being fueled by the power of friendship and rainbows.
Gotta throw all common sense away with them.
No lead is safe. Up 20? Clench your cheeks because they're coming.
They're down 2 with .7s left in the 4th? They'll somehow bank a three from 45ft

Funniest thing about this thread was people talking crap about the Pacers while glazing OKC the whole game.
