100 percent. Why THE **** we would want these past guys who have been fired to come here and bring their philosophy and change things up, turn the culture around, makes no sense.

He was telling his guys what not to do when they get in the paint....that's called live coaching....seeing what's going on and reminding your players how to counter it. Amazing coach....a coach you wouldn't recognize was the same one that led Dallas because he's adapted to this team and getting everything out of them. Great job by him tonight.

its funny because I was listening to Carisle and thinking you can talk all you want but OKC is going to shut them down. WRONG!
Apparently Carlisle told them what they needed to hear and they turned it around and Hali closed. Can't deny it...
But yeah...give this young guy a shot...he clearly put in a ton of work and has added value to three nba coaches. He added enough where he got promoted and was the associate coach twice.

I am shocked and surprised by these negative reactions to our once beloved point guard Mark Jackson.... Shocked I tell ya!

I would actually like to see the old ESPN analyst combo of JVG and Mark Jackson at the helm. They could work well together and I think Mark deserves another shot at coaching

You have to ask yourself why Mark hasn't had a job in the NBA since he got fired from Golden State.

He's a bigot, that's why, and he brought his bigotry to San Francisco, where a large swath of fans are from the gay community.

Also, with the younger generation who are more open minded and accepting of others, this dinosaur wouldn't be a good fit in the locker room. He'll give his opinion on why a man shouldn't wear nail polish....can't do that in the modern NBA.

I like people who mind their business and don't use their religion as an excuse to inflict harm on others.

Jason Kidd is right there too. That would be a coup if we pull off getting him. Also could lead to getting a guy like Giannis. Though I love the potential of Bryant, Hes also proven while Bryant is not.

Its most definitely not only KAT who probably said something. The Thibodeau coaching flaws all came to a head this year. Thibodeau preaches toughness and hard work which has value but the Xs and Os were not ideal for this roster construction (both offensively and defensively) . Further the lack and/or slowness to adjust and the overuse of the starters was just too many fatal flaws to continue down that path any longer.

it's not even a fair deal to begin with. it's actually worse value than what the lakers gave up for luka.

I was under the impression that everyone posting Giannis trades around here was doing it with the understanding that it was contingent on him specifically asking to be here.

That combined with the Bucks reportedly being willing to accommodate him as long as they get a fair return (under the circumstances).

I think everyone knows we couldn’t compete with other teams on an open market.

Kidd has a tight and/or positive relationship with numerous Knicks players and staff especially Brunson. He has a strong coaching and development resume (led Dallas to finals last year with defensive deficient big in Luka and PG in Kyrie) and lastly Giannis loves him. Kidd coming here to coach could do that very thing you brought up....Giannis asking to play here specifically.

I dont know if Knicks could pull off not trading KAT in that deal but the 'minumum type deal' that works CBA salary matching wise is Bridges, Hart and Mitch as centerpieces. If they somehow pulled that off it would probably include whatever few FRPs they have and pick swaps along with some 2nd round picks.
