NiceLikeChrist wrote:Pacers don’t have the individual talent. They don’t have a single bonafide shot creator. All this loosey goosey offense is exactly what OKC wants so they can get in the lanes and swipe and push. Sometimes you need a guy who can iso and get a bucket.

When we played OKC in the regular season we only had 12 TO in each game and OKC turned it over more than us in both.

Pacers have nobody who can slow it down and generate their own shot consistently

Well Haliburton did have a subpar game overall, with 14/10/6, regardless of hitting the game winner or not. The Pacers need more from him moving forward in this series, that's for sure.

I wonder if the Thunder would bring back a bigger lineup for G2, with Hartenstein at C and Holmberg at PF. It seemed to work well in earlier series.

The Pacers made 24 turnovers and still won this game! What's gonna happen when they play the way they can and not make so many TO's??

Given Pacers style and OKC's defenders, I think this will be a high-turnover series for Pacers.

OKC had a lot of steals and is a great defensive team but the Pacers don't normally make that many TO's.

This. Isiah thomas on nbatv thinks pacers might take game 2. .........the adjustment period was to okc physicality. This was a feel out game for pacers not okc

How can okc improve ? .......make more shots

how can the passers improve ? .....they didn't shoot well either, couldn't hold onto the ball catch the ball, looked timid, had nerves. They found something in the second half with nembhard playmaking imo

The Pacers grab a 1-0 series lead. First time ever that they have a lead in the NBA Finals.

2000 NBA Finals, lost to Lakers 4-2. Never led in the series.

I want to think this, but it took a buzzer-beater to beat a Thunder team shooting 39%.

That same Thunder team had 16 more FGAs and 18 fewer turnovers than the Pacers.

Wow, thats crazy!

And more FTs as well.

This series will play out just like the Knicks one. OKC isn't coming back from a soul-crushing defeat like this. The Pacers are a much more talented team than Denver was.

Pacers aren't more talented than Denver.

And the defeat isn't soul-crushing. OKC had worse losses this post-season against Denver.

Outside of Jokic, the Pacers are more talented at every position, and they have more depth.

They made 21 of the 24 TOs in the first half if I remember correctly, Pacers adjusted to that. OKC just couldn’t score on those, the lead was around 15 it should be 25-30 if they make those open shots.

It’s a heartbreaking loss for OKC, lucky they experinced it from Denver game 1. I think they need to be bigger longer it hurts them a lot in the closing minutes. The off rebs and no rim protection. And yes increase they need to increase their points of turnovers.

It was like a football game OKC played better with pressure, more goal posesions but just couldn’t score. Pacers beat them in last minute goal.

That's kinda true, but that's also bad, OKC should've won that by 20+... They did what they should've on defense. They forced a crazy amount of TOs against a team that takes good care of the ball.

Actually I think the Pacers take a pretty good care of the ball overall. OKC has a legendary defense though. It will be an interesting game 2.
