Kidd coached Brunson for ONE year.

I guess that's a relationship

I mean it was only the year he went from a bench piece to having a monster breakout season including the playoffs.

At the end of the day it seems like Wes relationship with Kidd is the driving force so far.

Felt like Wes pushed for Kemba too. And KAT.

Not sure I'd grade either of those moves huge successes.

KAT for Randle/Divo not a success...he was an all-star starter and all-nba,...what is Minny even going to get for Randle?

Don't want to derail this thread though.

No exec is going to be perfect Leon drafted Obi over Haliburton...

we are also a perennial +50 win team...everything in perspective of where we have been the last 20 or so years...

Definitely starting to seem like Giannis to the Knicks is inevitable
C- Andre Drummond, Jared Sullinger
PF- Zach Randolph, Marquese Chriss
SF- Danilo Gallinari, Jerami Grant
SG- Devin Booker, Arron Afflalo, Randy Foye
PG- Rajon Rondo, Emmanuel Mudiay

With all this talk, just close your eyes and imagine you traded Halliburton for Sabonis.

That should get you banned from the league.

If Leon goes all in on this trade, hopefully he back channels some CAA free agents as well to come along for the ride. Selling them on Kidd is probably a lot easier than Thibs

Wouldn't surprise me if this isn't going on.

thibs kinda did himself in by being inflexible.

This is now another post season where he basically makes zero adjustments or changes during the regular season. Then when **** hits the fan he is forced/panics to make changes to the defense/rotations.

We still would have won a lot of games in the regular season but we could have experimented with different lineups. Not playing Deuce with the starters less Hart basically all year was the most damning...like he legit had a workable 5 out lineup and he basically never went to it. And deuce is our best POA defender...moves mikal and OG to robber spots...just mind numbing coaching if you ask me.

Knicks won one extra game. Gained a C who could shoot, lost offensive creativity at PF. The trade was a wash.

It's not derailing the thread it that it points out this FO has a mixed bag record, even when they have done mostly well.

We're going to end up being the Suns if we add Giannis. Quality bench and depth are important!

won one more game by basically losing there entire 48 minute center rotation (out of there control) for the entire season....gotta put some context behind it.

Apparently Isiah Thomas still has Dolan's ear from the MSG Entertainment Division spot.

My guess is Kidd accepts the NY job
east is way easier to perform
and he's going to get re-upped on a new deal, likely 4-5 yrs
