It does feel like KAT would need to be involved but maybe he somehow isn't with the Headliner being OG and/or Bridges. There are ways to make it financially work with any of those guys.

You can make it financially work but what are you left with? It doesn't make sense. The remaining pieces are Brunson, KAT, and like a bunch of bench fodder or guys who don't fit (ex. Hart).

Giannis brought a chip to the Bucks and resigned with them giving them a chance. There could be a gentleman's agreement between the Bucks and Giannis to allow him to go to a tema of his choice. Not to mention, the league is clear influencing these key moves-especially after
they signed all of these multi billion dollar network deals. Maybe that why they steered Indy into the finals. Just my opinion...

....This is not the Knicks of yesteryear folks. This is a legit top destination for top NBA players. Couple that with going from Thibs to potentially a very popular players coach in Kidd and there is no reason not to believe we at least have a chance here.

For a supposedly championship roster and bench only held back by its coach that just needs a young coach with modern principles, why all these rumors about making a disruptive trade for a star? They have to get a coach that is already with another team instead of an up and coming assistant or Jenkins, Borrego etc.

At the end of the day it seems like Wes relationship with Kidd is the driving force so far.

Felt like Wes pushed for Kemba too. And KAT.

Not sure I'd grade either of those moves huge successes.

KAT for Randle/Divo not a success...he was an all-star starter and all-nba,...what is Minny even going to get for Randle?

KAT like Randle is a star that has great parts to his game as well as warts. And Kidd is a whole lot more likely to better utilize KAT than Thibs did.

yeah I agree...if we are losing both are defenders in the trade just to put Brunson/Giannis/KAT together...I just have a tough time seeing how we can have the requisite depth and defense to win...Giannis doesn't solve other teams targeting Brunson/KAT. And then we would have little else to fill out the roster.

Love OG but he is a role player and no one was “moved” by the trade even when it happened. But to take your point seriously the team had young assets and draft picks during the time of the trade.

The Knicks now have zero young players with any type of league wide respect and have zero draft picks that they can give up for the foreseeable future. And you think the Knicks have a chance at getting a Top 3 NBA player with what they currently have….
