Karl a Pelly

Post#1 » by nolaPELSfan » Fri Jun 6, 2025 7:19 pm

NYK: Herb, Missi, McCollum, Olynyk, Dejounte, 26' Indy 1st, '28 NOP 1st *(& + '31 NOP 1st top4 protected, if needed)*

for

NOP: Towns, Bridges, MitchRob, Pacome

JB/Dejounte(eventually)/OG/Herb/Missi
Miles/CJ/Hart/(FA)/Olynyk

Elf(#7?)/Bridges/Murphy/Zion/Towns
Jose/Boston/Reeves/Karlo/FA(#7?)

NYK does it for the insane defensive starting lineup behind JB, adding Herb and Missi to OG; and if Dejounte can come back close to 100% he can be the starting 2. CJ or OG can play 2 until we see. They also add 2 capable ball handlers to carry some creation load while JB is on the bench (CJ&Murray).

NOP does it to pair Towns and Bridges with Zion and Trey, who fit well together, and seriously commit to give it one last (attempt to literally)run with Zion.

Sorry, nola. I don't see the Knicks doing this AT ALL. They just went to the ECF and want to build on that. They do NOT want to take a step back, which this trade would do in spades.

I think that there could be an interesting scenario where Karl-Anthony Towns gets traded, but I don't see this as remotely viable for New York, with the inclusion of Mikal Bridges. That package feels like a "one or the other" sort of deal, with a few minor adjustments.

I like the KAT-Zion pair, but I don't think Bridges should be included in this.

NOP trades: McCollum, Jones, Missi, 2026 NOP/MIL 1st (lower)
NYK trades: KAT

New York can package McCollum and the pick for something else. But this leaves them deeper with more defense and for New Orleans I think KAT maximizes Zion's offensive impact.

Buddy, you got to at least pretend to be non-biased with these Pelicans trades you're throwing about.
