Bryant is a well-seasoned NBA hand. If he's ready to be a head coach, then he's ready to be a head coach in NYC. He spent plenty of time here and is fully acclimated to the peaks and valleys of coaching in NYC. He knows most of the roster personally and he is one of the only choices that brings the needed philosophy of building systems around the talent you've got, not fitting square pegs into round holes like Thibs and many of the other rumored candidates.

....This is not the Knicks of yesteryear folks. This is a legit top destination for top NBA players. Couple that with going from Thibs to potentially a very popular players coach in Kidd and there is no reason not to believe we at least have a chance here.

Love OG but he is a role player and no one was “moved” by the trade even when it happened. But to take your point seriously the team had young assets and draft picks during the time of the trade.
The Knicks now have zero young players with any type of league wide respect and have zero draft picks that they can give up for the foreseeable future. And you think the Knicks have a chance at getting a Top 3 NBA player with what they currently have….

OG is more then a role player don't kid yourself, he does things defensively maybe 3 other guys in the league allow you to do.

Kidd was never the choice. The funny thing is this same thing happened before Leon hired Thibodeau and people are still falling for it now.
These "interviews" are similar to free agents going to dinners with multiple organizations, when they already know where they're going to sign. It's all theater.
