Eid Mubarak to those celebrating today.

Another series win for the jays even after punting a Bowden Francis start.

Tonights starter hasn't been announced but i'll assume it's Lauer vs Bailey Ober.

It's Schultz, I believe.

Win this one, and we're even with the Twins for the 1st or 2nd WC spot.

Serious teams aren’t starting some Schultz scrub in June.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

I don't know who he is, but I trust the Dodgers enough to say he's better than some Schultz scrub.

The Bullpen games had been working surprisingly well as of late with fringe MLB pitchers. it was not sustainable.

If we hang in the race, an addition will need to be made as we have no good options in the minors.
Maybe we get lucky and Manoah is serviceable by mid-August and is a pseudo deadline acquisition of sorts -- but that would be lucky.

Serious teams also do not let go of a pitcher like Ryan Yarbrough, so you can keep two scrubs like Lovelady and Barnes (who were then DFA a short time later). How many more wins would this team possibly gotten had they not made that idiotic move and had kept Yarbrough as a potential 5th Starter?

Given how well he has pitched the last two months for the Yankees, he has been one of the best pickups by any team in MLB since he is making only 2 million this year. That is substantially less than the $15.5 million this organization is paying a broken down soon to be 41 year old Scherzer.

Fantastic read by Gimenez there. Knew pretty much on contact that that was going to drop.

Props to Lauer.

He has been great in his role -- 2.08 ERA in 26 innings pitched, with a WHIP of 0.88.

Absurd pull of Fluharty there after those 2 strikeouts

Hate it when they change pitchers when they''re doing so well. Don't care about matchups. Like come on, man. Should've let Fluharty finish the inning.

In a sea of negativity, time to give some props to some guys with lesser expectations entering 2025 who have been very good or solid for this team. Have been important to strengthening our bench / bullpen.

Heineman
Barger
Straw
Lukes

Little
Rodriguez
Fluharty
Lauer

I'll also note George Springer even though he is a starter has really stepped up his game.

They have made up for the fact that Guerrero, Bo, Gimenez, Santander, have either fell a bit short or well short of expectations. And the fact that we don't have a #4 starter.

Wow, gift on that 3rd strike call. I'll take it, but can we please just get to ABS to end this stupidity,

This strike zone has been a coinflip for anything close, yikes.
