Turner has about 3 more weeks before he gets cut. Dude is washed. Long is a righty 1B at AAA and he is absolutely crushing the ball.

You seem to be forgetting about super prospects Corey Patterson and Felix Pie?

ROY Jerome Walton?

I have a soft spot for Bobby Dernier, but that doesn't count.

Fly The W!

Horton with a solid outing.
MVPete now getting walks. Watch out!

I think Shaw is going to be a star. He’s way ahead of PCA and Amaya in their first 50 games. See him as a Rizzo type star. PCA and Tucker are super star MVP types.

This team is special.

Score was 1-3 when I went to dinner and I was worried Horton was going to get roughed up and the bats might take the night off... nope. I saw Busch hit the HR and thought the game would be close, but was delighted to see 8-3.

Top to bottom this lineup has been so good. The talent is great, but kudos to Hoyer for building a fast-paced (almost sounds like an oxymoron in baseball) and fun to watch team. I'm sure opposing pitchers all around are nervous anytime there's a guy in a Cubs uniform on 1st. It puts the batter in a more favorable situation too.

Another one!

7 Series Wins in a Row.

Happ heating up.
MVPete doing his thing.
Matty Ice with a 3 hit game.

Yeah it sucks.

Had to get that 7 day free trial.

The viewing experience is off the charts though. So darn good.

Brown looking good tonight. Kid is so talented.

Great game.

PCA and Shaw are special talents. Ben Brown showing elite talent as well. I like that Counsell left him in even though he gave up the homer. You can see him starting to settle in and trusting his talent.

We had plenty of chances we just didn’t capitalize.

Fly that W!!!

Bombs away from Suzuki PCA Busch and Shaw.

Palencia looks unhittable. Taillon with a great start.

These Cubbies look like WS contenders!

It would be great to take the series from the best team in baseball. Nice bounce back win today, and excellent pitching.

The game is not over at the time of this post but it is hard for the Cubs to overcome the Tigers being the greatest defense ever apparently, the ump show (they are in fine form today  :banghead: ) and NY (official review).

F this games umpires.

Fun win after a tough loss in extras.

This team plays as a team. Someone different always stepping up. You get the sense they expect to win and know how to win.

two series in a row dropped now- against two top teams. the kind of teams we're likely to face in the playoffs. Have to up their game a bit if they want to be serious contenders.

Cubs take 3/4 from the Bucs. Held the Bucs to just 7 runs in 4 games. But only scored 9 themselves. Every game a 1 run game, and 2 extra innings. Strange series.
