How do you plan to watch games next season?
CSN will no longer broadcast over the air in the Chicago area. No more antenna option.
They will be on Xfinity but you have to have the Ultimate package.
I guess there is illegal streaming.
You could also pay $20 a month for the CSN app.
Aren't they on DirectTV too?
Or you can just not watch.

Re: How do you plan to watch games next season?
No chance I'd get xfinity again, most likely wouldn't get directv either. I just have no interest in paying like a thousand dollars to have a ton of commercials and shows I don't want to be piped into my home. I'd most likely only look at illegal streams, CSN app or not watch at all. Sickening.

Why? Like most decisions, it comes down to money. I guess the commercials just don't cut it.

Re: How do you plan to watch games next season?
If they can't make a deal with HULU, they can do like the Cubs and do without me. Losing teams aren't worth forking over more money to suffer watching. CSN is worse because they acted like OTA was going to be what made them better and now they turn arond and stick to the fans just like everybody else

Comcast wouldn't make the deal if you could get games for free.

I might finally ditch Xfinity and use the savings on the $20 CSN app.

Yeah I know, but they should have seen this likelihood coming and thought more long term about it rather than offer ota for one year and annoy the fans

I’ve been paying $13/mo to watch on Amazon. No commitment beyond a month, but it doesn’t include nationally televised games (ESPN, TNT, etc).
Actually not sure if it’s available in Chicago since it blacks out local games (Houston for me). It also blacked out the game when Houston was in Chicago for some reason.

Re: How do you plan to watch games next season?
I don’t know if they care at this point, but I really wonder what the viewership is with all these barriers to watching a game.. for a bad/mediocre team with no contending hope.. and a pretty high cost of entry.
Thing about ramming an extra subscription just to watch 1 (or 3) local teams play… it’s on top of needing to pay a high internet fee, your mobile plan, your basic subs (Amazon, Hulu, YouTube, whatever)…
Are average people gonna pay for this stuff in a tightening economy? $20 extra per month is steep for a dozen games. Pro sports are all becoming a mess as they transition to streaming.

Sounds like csn is turning into wgn America when they just stopped airing bulls in general and ended up going away.

Pretty crappy move on their part, people paid up to $250 for an OTA setup. But what else do we expect from a Reinsdorf business.

I'd consider switching from YouTube TV to Fubo, I guess. Sigh. I otherwise really like YTTV and was just doing OTA for Bulls/Sox (admittedly not a lot of Sox these days, though).

Re: How do you plan to watch games next season?
I have had directv for 27 years. Every time I try to move off of them I find that I will be paying almost as much to get the programming I want (between multiple streaming services, local channels, etc.) plus have to deal with multiple sources (antennas and inputs etc.) and inferior quality.
It's a pain in the ass because I have to call them every 6 months and beg for discounts, but I manage to keep my bill at about $100 a month. I get every Bulls and Cubs game along with HBO, Max, Paramount + and Showtime plus all the cable channels including the home improvement and romance TV channels my wife wants.
I just still haven't found a better option.

Up in the air. Waiting for off season moves and draft. Did not watch last season. Waiting for team to win 5 games in a row to make a decision to consider watching. If AK fired will watch immediately.

Re: How do you plan to watch games next season?
hmmm, so no mo antenna option huh? well, i can always find a stream online if need be. If its not on YTTV i might consider a switch, will not be paying for any additional add ons. Curious what impact this will have on current and future generations of sports fans who do not grow up watching the Bulls because only a fraction of families have the service. As someone who grew up in California for a good part of my adolescence i was very thankful for WGN.

You can still watch OTA in Indy, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Des Moines, and Sioux City. But it looks like all of IL, Davenport, South Bend, and Ft. Wayne are losing OTA.

The Bulls are poorly run on every level
