Yeah IMO this absolutely screams Derik Queen.

Dark horse is CMB to me. His physical measurements are most similar to Draymond, a C in small ball lineups.

I’m surprised more people aren’t seeing Queen as being a Raps FO darling. He embodies so much of what they’ve looked for in a draft prospect the last few years: high bball IQ, processing speed, toughness, passer/playmaker. I think he’d fit right in with Darko’s system.

Alot of posters here prolly didn't watch much of Queen and on highlight tapes his game doesn't eye pop you like a player like Carter Bryant would.....Alot of Posters here also seem to take Draft combine/Athletic ability as a pretty high trait a player must need to be good in the NBA....

Measurements are always a talking point with prospects on RealGm....With Queen you have to watch lots of tape to understand how good he is and why hes ranked so high....His awareness, Feel for the game, IQ , Angles, Skills for his size are all hard to see on a highlight package.....

Ofc his body transformation will be helpfull in the NBA but he will be fine....You don't need to jump the highest or be a body builder to play basketball....Queen can just play the game at a very high level....And im sure if we draft him everyone who hates him will turn to love him fast once he starts playing.

Queen looks a big sluggish probably due to not being in good enough shape but the skill level pops out.

Can he defend well enough to be a Center in the NBA? He'd fill a massive hole as a backup C

I could live with a Queen pick, but it means we cant have RJ or Dick in the starting lineup.

My only real concern with Noa is the league hes playing in....IK ppl say its a "Pro" League but it has worse athletes in it than NCAA basketball, And the average height in the BBL league is shorter than NCAA as well....If you watch the highlights you see Noa is a whole head taller than most of these guys and alot of them are unathletic white players....

So Noa has the Speed, Athletic advantage, Height advantage every single time he plays....

That would be my biggest worry about him at the next level....Is if he is against players his height , As athletic as him if not more, And taller than him...Will he be able to dominate the same as he does against players way less capable? Prolly not and then if hes not dominating the inside does he have the basketball skills to beat a defender?....

I will keep an eye on him and won't be totally upset if we draft him but there is a chance he looks totally different against better comp.

BoyzNTheHood wrote:He has that old school meat and potatoes game with a little bit of the modern element mixed in. I think he’s the best big in the draft, but that’s without lingering foot issues.

I’ve come a long way on him because I was totally off his bandwagon mid season because of his performances against the top competition, but it seems like a bit of an overplayed argument to me.

Would go out on a limb and claim he's going to be TD 21 Lite @ worst - understands angles, spacing, etc. He shot free throws @ a decent clip which is encouraging as to developing a reliable jump shot in the paint as well as extending beyond the arc eventually.

Have reservations about Green - easily could turn out to be Robert Traylor or Zion when it comes to a lack of commitment as per conditioning. Easy to be seduced by potential re: Maluach, but the league's history is littered w/ underrealized potential. Also, look @ Kuminga who like Maluach came to the game late and has yet to develop a truly innate feel for the game.

Sorber may not elicit uninformed crowd frenzy and histrionics, but if you watch him play, his understanding can't be overstated and more often than not, results in the right play.

Reminds me of Al Horford

Those guys went 3 or 4 in strong drafts. I guess you're just talking about the nature of Sober's game, not its quality.

I think Washington would be fine moving down to 8 to draft Noa

We just created an identity of great pressure defense. Drafting Queen does not match that at all.

Agreed. But if he's a clear BPA you just draft him and figure it out later.

I'd draft Khaman, Fears, Jak, Bryant, Noa, Coward above him, but that is assuming they are all in the same tier talent wise.

Ideally one of Khaman/Noa/Carter is the pick. I think all three of them fit the defensive profile we creating while having enough offensive abilities to be true 2-way players
