yep. nothing but endless body and ball movement. no isos at all. kolek gets 30 minutes.

Guarantee you if Bryant doesn't play 10 or 11 the same guys who hated Thibs will hate him. They want to be Cleveland, Indiana or OKC regardless of the roster.

That sh*t is an anomaly man most teams that deep in tbellayoffs don't have 10-12 playable guys, honestly I don't think India does either or clev for that matter, Thomas Bryant? Cmon man....Knicks should prob be tuning 9 guys next year in the playoffs and that's fine 10-11 is nonsense

This is a lot of expectations.

Honestly I don't even care if the Knicks take a step back or if the next coach doesn't fix all the issues. I just don't want to continue doing the same thing again and again while grinding down certain players and not building the confidence of others. Also it would be nice to have a coach that players around the league want to play for.

All that dont matter if the result is not more wins. Fizdale and Fisher seemed to be nice guys that players liked.

True but you also have to be able to attract talent especially if you aren't going to take time to develop the young talent. People complained about the talent of the bench but I doubt there was a lot of quality players lined up to come play for limited money on Thibs bench when playing on a good team in New York should have been a very attractive situation.

Our core may have also already peaked and I didn't want to just leave behind a graveyard of bodies like his Bulls teams.

No one is asking for an 11 man rotation tho. Playing 7 guys in December is dumb as sh*t and I'm glad Leon Rose agreed.

i think the appeal of bryant is cultural continuity and a high quality coaching pedigree as an assistant/associate hc. no he's not proven as an nba hc, but a lot of names on the table aren't. udoka wasn't when we interviewed him and after we hired thibs he went on to take that celtics core to the next level. obviously without a proper head coaching resume it's a gamble, but bringing in a volatile character like kidd is a gamble too

I don't think limited money and playing for Thibs is a great selling point.

2 years ago they attracted DDV to play with the Nova guys for the full MLE maybe with the idea they may move on from IQ in his last year before restricted free agency. Last off-season they had less money in the taxpayer MLE available which they held to space to use for a month before just giving the money to Precious. They reportedly offered it to Tyus Jones and i'm sure they were looking at other guys also. No one accepted it.

Jones took the vet min to start for a worse team that has trending downwards instead taking more money in a bigger market for a team that was 1 win away from ECF missing multiple pieces and trending upwards. This year they will probably still have the same smaller taxpayer MLE available. I'm not sure why it would be more appealing this off-season especially after seeing how little Thibs used the bench.

Or Leon was 1 step ahead and knew all this time they'd get denied permission by the Mavs and he was never their #1

if there was any smokescreening going on here i'd assume that it was because a kidd pursuit makes it easier for brunson to accept whoever we do hire knowing that we "tried" to get his guy. i don't think the knicks are interested in saving money
