It's very funny that he won't put Barnes in, but it's VERY funny that he put protections on the 2032 pick. Knicks didn't even get that for Bridges.

Listening to some Minnesota talk radio this morning and they would be willing to include Jaden McDaniel. Probably not Terrence Shannon though

NBA marketing has conditioned their fan base to manufacture drama.

It's the only sport where the majority of the fan base is legitimately more interested in who will play where, why and when than the actual games.

Even the media isn't safe from crashing out over this Giannis story lmao.

Jake Fischer finding out fans and other media outlets have no shame twisting his reporting to fit an agenda when he's only reporting on things he's heard.

Define acceptable? That is an absolute trash offer. Chet's played 114/246 possible games so far in his career and looks like a #3 on offense; OKC's FRPs outside of their own are now Denver, Houston, and LAC picks which are not enticing; 'the Euro they stashed'...who is it?

The way I see it, we aren't getting the next Giannis or Jokic in FA or via trade. We need as many bullets as possible to try and get the next one. And while we can speculate where those picks are going to end up, someone can always have a disaster season like PHX and end up giving is something on the top 10.

He probably shouldn't have said anything in the first place. It's not like he reported actual verifiable facts.

This could be said for most of the reporting around Giannis.

He writes general pablum with no actual facts and now he gets upset because some people read it and assumed he knows what he's talking about?

He is a click bait writer, which includes, in my view, 95% of those out there. That includes the well known national writers.

In an era where clicks determine your success, I don't blame these guys. I just think it would be more rewarding finding something more useful.

He’s the only one to report nothing definitive but on the side of him not getting dealt. Hope it doesn’t lead to more reporters neglecting to report on stuff that doesn’t assist in #nbadrama

The writing is so **** ridiculous. They are trying to make it sound like he was halfway out the door then was possibly pacified.

When it was fake made up rumors had momentum and now those fake rumors are stalling. When none of it had anything to do with giannis in the first place.

Meanwhile Giannis out there having a good time with his family while the internet is on fire.

Jake Fischer writes for Marc Stein I wouldn’t characterize him as a rando.

However he has gotten some big things wrong (a bunch on draft day last year I think) and clearly relays rumors/whispers others might not.

That said it seems significant this is what people are saying about Giannis in league circles!

Stark contrast from what Shams and Haynes had been reporting. Not like any of that was verified either

Any “journalist” should be raked for spreading fictitious rumors and innuendo to harvest clicks. Reporting stuff like that should hurt their credibility and their bottom line, the fact it does the opposite usually is a sad reflection
