If the Knicks were trading OG, Robinson and Kolek - I probably like that more than Ingram, Poeltl and the 9th pick. I just am not sure Ingram next to Booker is the right roster construction. Again, another mid-range scorer - like Durant next to Booker.

I would take that offer from the Raptors in a second.

Robinson is worse than Poeltl. He can play meaningful minutes because of his horrible FT shooting and lack of basketball IQ.

Robinson is similar to Javale McGee and Poeltl can be compared to Gortat. Poetl better defender than Gortat and a bigger/longer than him.

#9 obviously is much better than gutting Kolek.

So you have to consider Anunoby MUCH much better than Ingram as a player, not only as a fit.

There are more factors that play into the overall package but Anunoby being a better player and fit is a very easy stance to take IMO.

I think moving forward - the fit around Booker needs to be taken into account. And maybe Durant without Beal - but with Booker might have worked better. But for sure, all three were not a fit. So moving forward, I think OG Anunoby fits around Booker better than Ingram. Now we get into the ancillary pieces, Robinson v Poeltl. And the 9th pick v Kolek for instance

I just know when the team was at its best with Booker - he had CP3, Bridges, Cam and Ayton. I think Ingram just might not be the right fit where as I think OG, Dunn and Booker would be a decent trio. Better than Ingram , Dunn and Booker

Unpopular opinion maybe: I really think the Suns could have been better off with Pascal Siakam instead of Durant. He would have been cheaper and better fit. Maybe even a shot at beating Nuggets/Wolves back then.

I don't really see TOR parting with Barrett, as he's been a nice fit for them and seems as though he's happy being back in Canada. Not to mention he's a key piece of their core.

This why I do not think that it is a given that we even trade KD, unless he demands to be traded.

I also do not think that it is a given that we dump Beal.

I think Ishbia is going to try to prove that HE made the right choices when we made the, KD, Beal and Ayton moves. All we need to do is have a new coaching staff with a few additions in the draft and everything will be fine. Our new coaching staff will integrate the new additions with the big three to form a very good team.

Marc Stein:
The Phoenix Suns are expected to continue to explore trade options for guard Bradley Beal. As it was last season, Beal's no-trade clause is expected to complicate finding a trade that is acceptable to both the Suns and to Beal.

As such, when Phoenix was interviewing head coaching candidates, those candidates were asked how they would utilize Beal, should he stay on the roster for next season. Ultimately, Jordan Ott, who will be introduced as the Suns next head coach on Tuesday, will have to figure out how to incorporate the veteran guard.

A buyout is considered to be somewhat unlikely for Beal, as he would be asked to give up a considerable amount of salary. In order for the Suns to be able to waive-and-stretch the remainder of his deal, Phoenix would need the shooting guard to give up a large chunk of the nearly $111 million he is owed. Beal is owed $53.6 million for next season and holds a $57.8 million player option for the 2026-27 season.

More likely Beal agrees to a trade then giving up significant money in a buyout. Probably best to just ride it out if he deadset against being dealt

Beal options:
1) trade him but have to give up massive draft capital
2) buy him out - and have five years of cap hits
3) just use him as 6th man and see what he can bring

The smartest thing to do with Beal is just do nothing, have him stay home and become an expiring in a year.
Granted, that would cost Ishbia a lot of money

Ishbia screwed up with Little. To sign Bol Bol or Tyus Jones or some "vet min" player like Plumlee - he stretched Little which means he cannot stretch Beal now. So short sighted

This is what people that say things like “why do you care about ishbia's wallet?” Don’t get. It’s not about spending money but about doing it wisely.
He is just a reckless buffoon

Personally, I don't care about Ishbia's wallet. I think the best thing to do with him is keep and have him be an expiring

I just meant that if Ishbia were able to stretch Beal - he would save so much money in lux tax payments - which is I think his goal.

From a long term basketball perspective - I think Beals expiring has much more value than whatever they get this year, in terms of helping the roster

got it - cool :D

I just have this feeling that Ishbia is going to do the stupidest thing possible with Beal - -and that would be taking a draft pick or two from the Durant trade and adding it to move Beal. Or maybe he takes a draft pick from Durant and takes a future Suns pick just to move him

Option 3 is by far the smartest and most responsible pathway to take with Beal. Then we he falls off the books in 27' we'll have close to $60 million (from Beal alone) to massively upgrade our roster in a ridiculously loaded free agency that summer!

Yup #3 definitely the best option from that list, aren't winning in the next two years anyway so not point sacrificing the future even more for just to get rid of him a year or two earlier

I wouldn’t play Beal for nothing. He doesn’t fit any timeline, clogs up the roster, and doesn’t give a shttt. He’s so used to losing that all he is is a paycheck casher. Sadly, a mentor for Book? Play him and Brittle Brad will be injured within 10 games and then we are completely stuck with him. Keep the options open. And keep him away. He is not a difference maker.

One maneuver that hasn’t been mentioned much is after Sept 30 (I think) they are committed to his deal … then you can waive and stretch the remaining 57 mil or what ever it is. No buy out needed. Just get rid of the dude.

We really have to get and stay under that second apron…. Somehow. Else all the fantastical trades cannot be done.

Any which way it goes, Beal is just another impulsive behavior penalty incurred by ‘I didn’t do it’ Ishbia.

I generally agree and have similar concerns.

We were so bad that no one on the team had an on court plus rating but our deep bench/garbage time players. But KD was the best with a -0.8, with the best on/off court of +5.1. He outproduced his opponent also with a team high of +9.1, with a highest net rating of +7.8. (per 82 games.com) Book outperformed his opponent by +5.5, with a pretty much break even -0.3 on/off, and +3.6 net rating. Those planning a starting lineup next year without KD, and possibly Allen and O'Neale, might be surprised at some of the other listings. Of course these should be considered with box score and other factors.

I don't really care for Barrett to even be in the Raptors trade premise package. BUT if they're obviously not giving up Barnes or Ingram, they have to make up the salaries somehow. And that just makes including Both Barrett and Poetl inclusionary pieces.

However, I'd just look to package Barrett and the 9th pick to Brooklyn for Cam Johnson/ Clowney/ 19th/ 26th and 36th picks. That way we'd have Cam back (better fit at the 3/4 with Booker). And Clowney as a solid 3 & D backup 4/5.

#1- And we could then either follow that trade up with Allen/ Richards to Orlando for Isaac/ Bidatze.

OR

#2- O'neale/ Martin/ 29th pick to Chicago for Vucevic. And then flip Vucevic/ CLE 27' 1st to Washington for Smart/ 18th pick. Or Vucevic to Orlando for Isaac/ Bidatze/ 25th pick.

Option #1-
FA/ Booker/ Isaac/ Johnson/ Poetl.
FA/ Trent Jr/ Dunn/ Clowney/ Bidatze.

Option #2-
Smart/ Booker /Dunn/ Johnson/ Poetl.
FA/ Allen/ Nance Jr/ Clowney/ Richards.

** ( Vucevic to Washington for Smart/ 18th pick).
** ( Vucevic to Orlando for Isaac/ Bidatze/ 25th pick).
