Why would Cleveland say yes to that?

Positions?
Archetype?
Salary range?
Depth?
Picks?

Yes, it's a Knicks fan who always suggests it.KGDirkTD_Fan wrote:Someone here mentioned a swap of Garland & Franz Wagner could be really interesting both fans may hate it. Unfortunately it doesn't solve Cleveland's depth issue due to how expensive this team is

Eh, idk if you can call a 2x All-Star 'fake'. The guy is a good regular season performer.Chuck Everett wrote:I kind of consider him to be a fake all-star. Just like Herro. You move either guy to the West and they never make all-star teams again. He's a good player, but I am just not a fan.

Why would the Cavs want Young? You get older, ever smaller and worse defensively, and get MORE hero-ball from the guards, FURTHER freezing out their bigs. Stuff that...
Trae solves nothing for the Cavs though. You're just getting a worse shooting, worse defense, same Ast:TO ratio at a higher volume, smaller, more expensive player.Godymas wrote:axeman23 wrote:Godymas wrote:If Atlanta calls Cleveland this off season and says “we will offer Trae Young for Garland” the Cavs say yes

You really said older in the case of 26 vs. 25 right now.
Here’s a sentence to illustrate a point.
One is a future HoFer and the other is Darius Garland.

1. Trae isn't a future HOF.
2. He doesn't solve Cleveland's problems. If anything he makes them worse.

Trae Young is actually the opposite of what the Cavs need.
I don't have to, i watch the Cavs and I know a worst shooting and worst defender version of Garland is not what the Cavs need...Godymas wrote:JujitsuFlip wrote:Trae solves nothing for the Cavs though. It’s ok to admit you don’t watch the Hawks. There’s a big difference in what Trae Young can do with a competent big man vs. Clint Capela and Okongwu. He had John Collins averaging 21 for a season
