I think I agree with VFX regarding Orlando trying to get a cheap rookie scale PG to be able to spend elsewhere (presumably upgrade at SG/C or just better depth).

Kinda similar to what Minnesota tried to do with acquiring Rob Dillingham

Yes.

But as others have stated it probably didn’t matter anyway because Fox has ties to the area and probably said he’d only resign in SA.

We’re trying to move up? Sounds like a Weltman move. I don’t know who that would be. There’s really no exciting prospect at the PG spot is there?

Again, I think this had more to do with Fox and his preference to go to SA (where his family lives) than the actual trade package. Probably was dead set on SA which I believe Shams did confirm.

A lot of different directions the Magic could be looking in a trade up from 16, especially if they're planning to trade away Goga and/or Isaac in the next month.
