Re: Around the NBA - Conference Finals and Finals
The ratings will go up after that exciting game 1 pacers come back win. People believe the so called experts that the Pacers had no chance, that's what caused the low ratings.

Game 1 viewership was record lows. OKC choking doesn't change the narrative.

Misery loves company. Maybe all the fans of teams that got eliminated will watch in the hope OKC loses. Or maybe all the fans just won't care about two cornfield teams, and nobody watches.

I'm sure there's hundreds of reasons why individual fans aren't interested.

There should’ve been a game last night, riding the momentum of game 1 if they cared about ratings.
The extra day of rest is advantage Thunder. It might be a blow out tonight.

I will be disappointed with the Thunder if they do not blow the Pacers out tonight the same way they did the Nuggets after a similarly heartbreaking Game 1 loss.

Dont insult Grandma. She’s cooking dinner if she can stay up after this game. She’s just too tired to remember what’s going on exactly.

I feel like Mike Breen is sufficiently into white haired territory to be protected from having to work with Doris _all of the time_.

Re: Around the NBA - Conference Finals and Finals
The Pacers really don't seem to be as much out of their depth in this series as I presumed they would be.
I think I need to re-evaluate their team and/or how strong the rest of the West was. Obviously Denver was on the OKC level, I'm not sure about the rest.
I don't think the Pacers per se are really that much ahead of (or behind) the Knicks, the Celtics and the Cavs. Curious.

Elder abuse in NY can be a felony. She better stop talking because what she says is too painful for Breen to have to hear. Death by 1000 cuts.

The way OKC ran through the West during the regular season made them seem invincible, and helped get Shai the MVP. Indy seems to be generally playing with them fairly equally - this game is really close not only in score, but in how each team seems to be able to handle the other team. If we'd been able to maximize the use of our players on offense and had some reactive defensive schemes, a small change in the scores might have made our playoff experience last a lot longer. As good as these teams are, I'm still not able to get hyped about either one. At least, not as much as for a Knicks summer league game

I kinda agree, but OKC seem to be pulling away right now with tougher defence. But it's play to play so far.

Yeah, but both teams move whereas the Knicks generally looked like a bunch of grandpas at the Y.

THey built the lead to 10 but it's down a bit. The series staying close is the only way the NBA might get some fans. The thing is, I could never sleep during a Knicks game but I could easily wait until morning to see how this one ends.

Yeah. But you're a Knicks fan.

We can all wait until tomorrow to see what the score is if this is, eg, the Cavs x the Suns.
[edit] I only watched the last 5 seconds of G1 (in real time), because I thought it would be completely uninteresing. I was in a jam session and checked in on my phone when people playing were switching over. I was kinda amazed. So I'm watching tonight a little to try to understand what is going on.
