Draft Poll: Maluach or Queen

I think you take Maluach. Lets your trade Poeltl a lot more safely and fits easily into our defensive-first mentality we've been building. Queen looks like the better offensive prospect and that's tempting considering we are looking for offensive options, but he's more of a 4 and he's kind of a weird fit with Scottie. Malauach may actually have the highest ceiling between the two and also the higher floor. 9'8" standing reach is insane.

The better comparison is Mark Williams, the measurement are similar. Maluach will shoot better, but definitely not Turner level that you want to park him on the perimeter.

I think we should look at more than just Maluach and Queen. There are Bryant, Essengue, Sorber, etc.

Wouldn't be mad with either and I like Queen's approach on offense, and his defense might be workable... but what worries me more than the combine measurements is his shooting form looking ugly af. Genuinely Maluach is further along as a shooter.

Queen will get more money on the 2nd contract because offense gets paid more.

But Maluach might have a bigger impact on winning.

Easily Queen - basketball today, more than ever before, is a game of skill and he's the most skilled big in the draft. I also think Maluach's defensive presence is very overstated.

I believe Maluach will be a better shooter than Queen. Their size difference is significant, and Maluach, despite being two years younger, seems to have developed more refined skills and game sense, while Queen had more freedom in her role. Therefore, I would choose Maluach.

If I had to pick one though, I'd go with Queen. Maluach has limited offensive ability. I don't like drafting raw players this high. Queen is an underwhelming defender, but at least he has some offensive skills. Again though, I'd rather we look at other players. I don't like either of these player archetypes and I think they usually end up as low-impact players.

Problem with Queen I’m worried is going to be his efficiency. Like he gives me Zach Randolph vibes. Even poor man’s Embiid.

I’m still in the Sorber being the best C camp. His game is very composed and not forced.
