The same as for the Raptors, the price for the Cavs is going to be Mobley or nothing. The Cavs don't even have the extra draft picks to throw around.

I would do Barrett/Dick for garland

I think any trade offer would be built around IQ. Cost savings now, less money in the future for a similar type player to Garland. They have the shot creation from Mitchell so having IQ play off ball would be fine for them. They really just need to cut salary without taking a big step back and that would do it, if they can salary dump Strus or Okoro it gets them out of the 2nd apron.

Horrible deal.

I think the only way a KD Raptors trade manifests is if a team wants to move up & is willing to give up a future first (reroute to PHX). #9 is a bit rich for the Raptors to give up when they would desperately need to replace Poeltl at the center so it's either that or they give up a future protected first in, like, 2027. It'd also allow for them to more easily figure out how to address the center position by either trading said pick or using it on a center prospect like Thomas Sorber or Danny Wolf.

They are stacked at almost every position on paper, so trading Garland makes no sense to me, because i doubt there's a upgrade at the PG position available better than Garland

I want to say depth? Their backup PG/C spots aren't exactly stellar and they're probably losing Ty Jerome in free agency. Plus their roster is rather expensive and set to only become more costly after Jarrett gets extended - assuming he's not traded anyway.

The other thing is Garland has been something of an injury magnet or at minimum cannot be relied upon to stay healthy so I can see why they'd move on from him when the 3 most important players on this team are Mitchell, Mobley and Allen in that order.

Negotiating with Ainge is like negotiating with a terrorist so he probably doesn't get moved unless a team really gets desperate. He's going to want something similar to a Gobert/Mitchell package and he's not worth that.

I would do IQ + #9 for Garland in a heartbeat.

Now, I doubt Cleveland would want that as Cleveland won 64 games last year and probably would have a hard time finding minutes for a top 10 pick.

But I guess they could use that pick for another trade? For example, trading Garland for IQ would clear up $7m in cap for them, so it would give them a lot more flexibility for trades.

If they did want to make a big move (like Mobley, #9 and Salary for Giannis), I'd imagine this would make it easier for them to do. But they just won 64 games - I don't think they want to change it up too much....

Lauri makes the most sense in terms of potential 'big fish'. Big contract, but the Jazz seems to want to fire sell their vets. A big who can shoot the 3 and create their own offense is somebody we need badly. IMO easier to acquire than KD or Giannis.

UTA recently fired two of their lead draft scouts. Their drafts overall have been pretty bad over the last few years and their rebuild is basically nowhere. Then it got worse when they moved down after the lottery.
