They get their starting Center and a very good complimentary player to Book.

Jones/Beal/Booker/OG/Robinson

Knicks Get:
Kevin Durant

They keep the Nova boys and add KD to get closer to that ring

Brunson/Hart/Bridges/KD/KAT

The Suns wouldn't do it. The Knicks would need to add draft capital.

Which we should never do, as KD is not worth that to us. Hence, no trade is likely (unless a straight KD-KAT swap).
RIP magnumt--you're literally why I'm still here on these boards.
RIP The Hater--keep up the good fight in the great beyond.

Why wouldn't the Suns do it?

I don't really trust Mitchell Robinson but this looks like something the Suns might do. Anunoby is a good player and immediate starter. Not every trade involving a veteran has to be built around draft picks. The Phoenix owner seems to think he' has a championship team and might not want to "rebuild".

The Suns want a good young player with upside and/or draft capital. This package doesn't have any of that.

Oh I think Mat knows he doesn't have a championship team. He may be committed to trying to be win now, but he knows thats not a championship team.

The players part is fine. But Phoenix would need some future value attached.

I could definitely see the Suns attempting to go that direction in KD trade. If they were still attempting to put a good team around Booker right now OG and Mitch don't seem like bad pieces to swap out for KD at this stage in his career from a fit, team need and age standpoint but they do have their injury concerns.

If they do find a good trade for KD involving a young player with upside and/or draft capital do you expect them to keep Booker too?

Booker will not be traded and is gonna sign an extension. The KD trade doesn't impact Booker's career on the Suns.

Because of this comment right here. If you were smart and got offered OG and Mitch Robinson for KD. You jump on that in a heartbeat.

Brunson
Hart
Bridges
KD
KAT

that is a championship team. KD can get you 30 on a night.

Maybe in the west. That team gets swept in round two in the east.

I'm confused. Is the East better than the West now?

It had the better top 4 this season, but people have been resisting that reality every time I've mentioned it just because the west has a couple more midlevel teams while the east has two more tankers, which tilts the conference vs conference records. But who has the better teams just outside of the play in doesn't matter in the playoffs. Who has the better top 4, does.

And that roster might be good enough to beat up on the likes of Houston and the Lakers, but it's getting smoked by Cleveland & Indiana.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
