even if you think Bona is ready you'd be stupid to not get another big body. Getting a rookie is a lot easier because they won't play in the best case scenario of Biid not being borked....thats a hard sell to any non washed guy. Kalkbrenner is old as **** so maybe he'd be best of both world lol

I'd be down for Hansen Yang at #35 but unfortunately the Chinese Communist Party wouldn't like it.

Maybe if Morey tweets that "Hong Kong, Tibet and Taiwan are integral parts of China" they'll allow it lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if Johni Broome falls to us at #35. I'm willing to roll the dice in spite of his shortcomings due to his insane productivity.

I watched Broome play a lot last season. He's the textbook example of a college big who bullied college players but won't be able to do that at the next level. He doesn't spread the floor and he's an awful FT shooter. He's an undersized 5 who is too slow to be a 4. Some GM is going to regret picking him, I just hope it isn't us.

I basically agree but in the second round someone is going to roll the dice on his production and hope he can become an ok shooter.

Doesn't seem like he'll be back. I know the caveat he made about us, but he wants more minutes.

I dont mind letting him walk. He lacks the verticality we need on defense. He’s neither a good rebounder or a good rim protector. I’d rather re-sign Grimes. I like a heavy SG rotation, with some of them playing some SF similar to Pacers or Thunders.

Can't hard cap yourself at the 1st apron to bring him back.

If he wants to take the TMLE though? He will certainly get rotation minutes on this team. But he's going to get a better offer than that somewhere.

I'd bet a lot of money that they'll be under the 1st apron regardless of whether to they are hard capped or not.

I'm not so sure Yabu will get an offer over the tMLE ($5.7m in year 1). At the tMLE I'm happy to have him back.

Anything over that which would hardcap us at the 1st Apron and no thanks, good luck elsewhere.

Very interested in Jake LaRavia as a replacement. KANGZ can't match a tMLE offer due to Jake's rookie contract option not being picked up. They're limited to $5.2m.

That depends on what contract Grimes gets.

I'll be very surprised if he gets $20m in year 1. Most likely is around $15m which is the NTMLE amount, or just slightly over that as a goodwill gesture from us. The only real threat with cap to go over the NTMLE is the Nets and they're already strong at the position.

They're about 18.5 under the 1st apron now, with two draft picks to pay as well as Grimes and potentially Yabu.

Not that Josh is going to approve paying tax for an 9 seed this year, anyway, but it's getting tight.

If they trade down with the Nets and ship PG out as part of it? Sure aprons won't be an issue.

Maxey is better than Haliburton?

You have mentioned him a number of times I think, can you sell me on him a few sentences???

Hali is a way better passer, but i think Haliburton offensive game is too limited. He kinda just spams 3s, but when he´s not feeling, he´s completely neutralized like yesterday, while Tyrese has his driving game. I dont even think Hali is that great of a passer. Dont get me wrong, he´s a good passer, but he gets a lot of easy assists too, since there area a lot of shooters in Indiana. I prefer Maxey, but i´m a Homer

Lol

I actually met him at the Plymouth meeting mall once. This was a few years ago, (well more than just a few years ago Lol) I think he was with the Clippers then? And rumors were going around we might trade for him.

I asked "are you back?" He said "nah, just out here with his kid"
