College 3/14 from three and 62% from FT
Gleague 1/9 from three and 56% from FT
NBA 1/8 from three and 60% from FT
16% is about as low as someone can possibly shoot along with absolutely no volume and terrible touch from Free Throw line. Moussa is 23 yrs old too, so it would be like picking a 5th yr college senior in this draft with these stats with the hopes of developing them into a stretch 5.
If Charlotte wants a stretch 5 they would be better off trying to develop almost any other big in this draft class over what Moussa has consistently shown shooting the ball.
i think everyone should be able to develop an outside shot if they practiced enough, thats my thinking. im probably wrong, but whatevs
i truly believed Shaq should have been more dominant than he was, but he never bothered to learn how to shoot properly.
i don't agree with it. some people just don't have the right hand eye coordination to become an actual nba-level shooter. There's no reason to believe either Moose or Mark is going to magically come out firing jumpers. (Moose far less so than Mark)
There is just nothing about Moussa game that says he has any type of touch or finesse.
4%th percentile in FT shooting.
11%th percentile in Assist %
17%th percentile in Turnover %
At least with Mark he has shown touch in FT% and showed growth as a passer.
80% free throw, 58th%
62nd% in assist%
51st% in turnover%
As mentioned hard to find a center in this draft class that I think that projects as a worse outside shooter than Moussa, so yeah I don't think he is one off-season away from being able to play the 4. Honestly, he is a fun energy big, I get people like him but also think people are so desperate to oversell him as something he isn't.
