Bulls decide the East is open enough, and Matas/Giddey/CWhite are ready to win now
Bos saves a ton of $ and gets someone who will play nightly
BRK gets a free guard
Utah rebuilds and tanks for AJ
Trade 1
Chi sends Vuc to Bos and Ayo, #45 to BRK
Chi gets KP and #36
Trade 2
Chi sends PWill, Huerter, JCarter, Port pick, #12, 2026 swap rights for Jazz on 1st
Chi gets Lauri
Chi ends up with
White/TJones (resigned)
Giddey/Ball
Matas/Phillips
Lauri/JSmith
KP/Collins
Terry as 11th man, and #36 as 12th man (best big available). That is a huge, talented team that could easily win 50+ games and contend in the East (assuming KP can play 65 games). They'd need to sign another guard too (not THT) and another wing (bring Craig back?)

I like the general idea but if you had that team Giddy is the wrong type of PG for it. That type of team needs someone who can drive and kick more,
like a Ja Morant, Fox, LaMelo Ball type.

Yeah, I think if you want to max Giddey out a PnR center would be a better bet and well as a Mavs fan I wouldn't advise anyone to go with the KP experience, he's really good but he'll wreck your team's chemistry especially if he has to be a key player, his constant injuries + how long it takes him to get fit is frustrating...send a couple of FRP+ to Utah and get the Lauri/Kessler combo
Giddey/White/Buzelis/Markkanen/Kessler..

I didn't think of Kessler too.
I like the spacing of Matas/Lauri/KP/White around Giddey. He actually (awkwardly) does drive a lot, and is a great passer. This is an upside play-maybe KP has mellowed some?

I don’t get this trade. You get 2 guys that will play 30 games and be on the injury list the rest of the season. Plus neither play defense. That team would be 500 at best. They need to go all young. Trade white to Orlando for Suggs, 16 and 25. Vuc to Gs for Kuminga. I guess resign giddy. Not sold on giddy but you can’t lose him for nothing.
Maybe package Suggs and the 25 and move up in the draft.

I don't think this is enough for Lauri.
You can make the case that Portland first(forever lottery protected) is the cost just to dump Patrick Williams.
12th and a future swap seems low for Lauri.

I agree, the price for Lauri isn't great, but his value is down and Utah NEEDS to tank again.
Does anyone else see 50 wins from
White/TJones
Giddey/Ball
Matas/Huerter
Lauri/JSmith
KP/Collins
Phillips/Terry as deep bench
I think that's a REALLY solid team that would win a lot of games.
