Giannis did an interview at the court he slipped on lol. Some interesting tidbits though...

Via Coast to Coast Brasil:

Reporter - “Giannis, have you been watching the finals? Any guesses on who will take the title?”

Giannis - “There are 2 great teams that got there, 2 great teams… Indiana, with my friend Pascal Siakam, is reaping the rewards, and on OKC’s side, the MVP is simply there. I'm rooting for good basketball. That's it. The Finals are different, I hope to be back soon with the Bucks.” - Giannis Antetokounmpo

Can't be stated enough how blessed and lucky we are. Giannis is a 1 of 1.

I'm sure ESPN and the other click bait imbeciles will report this and that will be the end of the Giannis speculation.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

You can almost hear the depression in his voice as he says it.

General board already has a Nets fan saying he'll probably just ask out mid-season instead.

This is great news for two reasons.

The first is that it is definitive from Giannis that he wants to be in Milwaukee the next few years.

The second, is that there is no way he would agree to stick around unless the front office sold him on some level of imminent roster changes, something this board desperately needs.

Looks like ESPN tried their best to force Giannis out at the beginning of another offseason and he didn’t bite (so far at least). I love that Giannis wants to win in Milwaukee. We need to get him another championship to further cement his legacy.

Unfortunately, I’m sure they’ll try again next offseason if we don’t win the title.

With Windy admitting that there is no trade market for Giannis, that about shuts the door for this offseason’s rumors, as far as I’m concerned. I’m sure if there was even a 1% chance, he’d be talking about it.

Excited that he doesn't plan to ask out - for now. But will he feel the same way in a year? Are we setting ourselves up for a situation where Giannis asks out and we fetch peanuts because he only has one year left on his deal?

I'll feel better if he extends, and we won't know if he will do that for another year. And that sucks.

Giannis with one year under contract plus rights will still get a good offer and we will be in better place next year with Dame expiring and one year closer to our draft picks.

It would only suck if he does something stupid like tearing his ACL/MCL while going for a drunk on a second world court with his face recently painted on it. That doesn't seem likely so we should be good.

Life it short. It is what it is. Enjoy another year with Giannis and hopefully a remade roster.

and the "AS OF RIGHT NOW."

It's getting ridiculous. Even on the GB there were posts immediately "well at the traded deadline...."

I really hope he retires a Buck

Now that Giannis said he wants to stay with the Bucks, all of the salty fans that were trying to poach him are now pivoting to him wasting his time and concluding that it will be the end of him winning in Milwaukee.

So much can change in such a short period of time, and with finances improving in another year, there's no telling where the Bucks could end up. I hate that fans think a team is married to the same roster for the next 5 years when the new CBA makes that impossible. You'll be lucky to get 3 consecutive years in before you have to answer to apron demands. Bucks can absolutely capitalize on other teams going through what the Bucks just did with their roster the past two seasons.

We can finally put an end to these Giannis trade proposals that would cause NBA 2K25 to crash and uninstall itself simultaneously.

Yeah, as optimistic as I've been, if we *don't* make the easy and obvious identity shift in the direction of the lineup we rolled out in Game 5, I'll have a hard time engaging with this team. Even if I don't agree with the individual player choices, as long as they appear coherent, I'll be good. We're not going to get a substantially different outcome without a different approach.
