Nah reverse it. Home fans should wear their team colours with their team.

Yup brand recognition in the NBA is almost completely gone, outside of a few teams.

Put it one way, John Stockton played 19 years for the Jazz. Lauri Markkanen has played 3 years for the Jazz. Lauri has already worn more different Jazz jerseys in those 3 years than Stockton did in 19.

You think of Stockton in Utah, one of two images pop up. Stockton with the jersey of the Mountains on them. Or the Jazz with the J being a big musical note.

With Lauri, no clue what the first thought that comes to mind is. He’s worn like 3-4 different varieties of a jersey with a mountain on it. You got the horrific plain jerseys with just the musical note and #. Or the plain black or yellow jersey that just says Utah or Jazz on it.

There is just zero brand recognition left.

I stopped caring about and keeping track of jerseys a long time ago, I feel like every team has 20 now. As others have said, I wish they'd bring back white home and color away jerseys. One alternate. But this is the world now and somehow these things make money through replica sales, so Nike and the NBA are going to keep churning out jerseys.

Serious question though: does any team regularly wear white jerseys at home anymore? I truly don't know.

Nike are morally bankrupt losers who just sacked an Aussie Athlete for making critical comments about genocidal/apartheid Israel.
