Someone on a fourm I read brought up the Durant to Spurs trade might be a 3 team deal with the third teaming being Nets.

So it would be Durant to Spurs, Claxton and Barnes and Spurs 26 and 27 1st round picks to Phoenix, Vassell, #14 to Nets.

So we might not even be getting Vassell.

LOL

They have a ton of young players who basically dont play at all (Sheppard, Whitmore, even Jabary Smith was having a 10-15 mpg in playoffs...). They still have a value but that would start to vanish if they continue to collect DNP-s next season. So if you are a freakin Rockets fan you would trade for KD dirty cheap and keep those prospects while dont play them at all?

Zach Lowe mentioned the same on his podcast. Not specifically in a trade with the Spurs, but with the Twolves, and in general. The Brooklyn coming in to facilitate, and Claxton ending up with the Suns.

Not sure how I feel about more potential back of the draft 1sts as that's exactly what this would be.
I'm sorry, I think I'd take my chances with Vassel and 14. I dunno. I thought Claxton was turning into a hard-to-move contract last year.

in all honesty. Claxton isn't even good. Richards and Claxton are about the same talent.

I just wonder if management is getting singularly focused on the center position again to the point they might take a "lesser player" to fill a need. And I get that Vassell is duplicative with Booker. So for sure would prefer a PG or PF or C in the trade. But at the same time, get the best players you can. This talk of "needing a center" to me, is overrated. They need one. They all so need a PG too

Not like any of these would actually happen because Bradley "I hold all the cards" Beal wouldn't agree to be traded, BUT if he did? ................... Thoughts?? ( I haven't listened to this yet).

Collins should be a trade target for us using our fringe players like O'neale/ Martin/ maybe Richards? (because they're looking to trade Kessler anyways) or use a piece like Vassell (salary)from the KD trade with the Spurs, and one of our CLE 1sts.

Because then you can have Collins play at the 4 as a rim running physical big that can shoot threes and tell him to focus on defensive plays, and rim protection/ rebounding using his size and athleticism.

If the Knicks are serious about Durant -- OG would need to come to the Suns. Period.

Unless it was something like Bridges, Robinson and Hart

I watched a little of the PHNX_Suns podcast with Ruby and Stephen and one trade, from a subsciber was
sending Durant to SA and using the 14th pick from SA plus the Suns 2025 FRP plus I think the Suns 2027 all to move Beal
fans wanting to move Beal are too crazy - "at all costs" is stupid
just suck it up and keep him or if he accepts a buy out - fine
but giving picks to move the player is just dumb

Idk if I mind Vassell. I think he had a down year last year after trending up. So there's some opportunity to recoup value there if we pump him full of minutes.

I kinda like Sochan. I don't really know how his game projects to develop going forward but his size would really be nice.

Ultimately I don't know much about either of these guys.

Hope it works out lol

After seeing the Spurs proposal - its not bad - about what I expected - a B trade
But really hoping the Rockets get involved with their picks
I just am not sure this will be enough to build around Booker but I guess its a start
